For smoke belching itself, the emission test should do the trick...
As for the smoke, what color?
Under what conditions does it appear? Cold start? High rev? Running?
subukan mo munang hugasan yun tambutso mo ng tubig gamit ang hose, baka puno ng carbon, after washing testing mo ulit kung mausok pa,if mausok parin ,smoke emmision test ka,pag bagsak ,bakakailangan ng calibration
i was wondering about the same thing. is it normal for smoke(grayish to balck) to become visible in between gearshifts? I usually shift gears at high revs since i dont hava a tachometer(94 L200). Pero if i change gears just before todo rev parang walang smoke.
pwede basta umaandar ang makina mo habang hinuhugasan, kalaingan medyo malakas ang pressure mo sa hose para pumasok hanggang muffler huwag mo lang paabutin sa manopol yung tubig baka masira makina mo.
what i do when i clean the exhaust sa pajero is i actually stick the hose up the tailpipe (it helps na 30-degree incline yung papasok sa garage namin) as far as it could go to flush as much carbon as it could. got the scare of my life though when the tip of the hose attachment (the one which adjusts the flow of water) broke off and naiwan sa loob ng exhaust pipe. good thing hindi pa pala nakakalayo, naflush out siya ng water na naiwan inside after i revved the engine.
you may be stepping on the accelerator pedal too hard. diesel engines tend to spew black smoke (signifying unburnt fuel) when you step on the accelerator too hard. remember that diesels behave differently from gas fed engines. try too ease up on it and observe if black smoke still comes out of the tailpipe. if smoke still comes out, try to clean your tailpipe as advised by our friends and if still to no avail, have your injector pump diagnosed.
when im running theres a continuos flow of black smoke but its not thick but noticeable...what may be the problem?
Have you guys notice after youve been on a out of town trip your vehicle runs smoother?wats up with that?
When you go on out of town trips, nababawasan ang carbon deposits kaya after such trips your ride runs smoother.Originally Posted by yellowjip
Another alternative to lessen black smoke on diesel engines would be to use biodiesel.
If your engine is a petrol and there's black smoke coming out from your tailpipe, then your engine is running rich. When white smoke is coming out, then oil must be already seeping out into your combustion chamber (also pressure blow-by down to the crank case).

kaso ang problema pag may operation ang DENR and mapahinto ka sa tabi, ang pag test nila ng auto mo is todo rev, kaya may usok na lumalabas. Dapat ba kahit na todo rev pasado pa din sa smoke test?
