anybody familiar with FUEL UP?

Nakita ko sya kanina sa Handyman. It's a fuel additive. It claims to have an anti-rust formula, helps remove carbon deposits in your fuel system and prevents rough idling. Mga once a month daw ihalo sa fuel by adding a couple of ounces. Anyone na nakagamit na nito? Just wanted to find out if its claims are true. Thanks!

Yeah. I think that's the one that comes with Motor Up.

Personally I'd look at it as rubbish.

Yes, I think it was produced by the same company that produced Motor Up, yung wala na daw change oil for a long period of time. Na-curious lang kase ako dahil first time ko sya nakita. It didn't claim an improvement in your fuel consumption though, kaya akala ko it's not like other products that have the same claim na hindi naman pala totoo.

The cheapest and best way to clean up your system is a full tank of the highest octane gas you can get.

For the lubrication system, just get better oil...

niky: how often do you load up with the highest octane fuel? once a month? two months?

Always. Because I always drive fast.

I know there's not supposed to be much difference, but I'm on the highway all the time, and my engine really does seem a bit happier when I put in high octane, especially as I do the "Italian tune-up" at least once a week or every two weeks.

Am getting 8-9 km/l either way (96 RON vs. 93 RON), mixed city/highway. Gets as low as 8 because we often have horrible traffic (up to 15-20 minutes) outside our place before we get on the highway.
