When you buy a car what do you give the most priority too? Car price or fuel economy?
Car's sticker price
Car's fuel economy

parang diapers ah... economy o quality?
imho.... i don't go for fuel economy, but for fuel efficiency.
so i gues dun sa question, dun ako sa car price, as long as it is fuel efficient.
I would say fuel efficiency. I would tend to pay more for a reliable ride/ brand, known for its technology in fuel efficiency.

You evaluate a car in its totality not only because matipid sa gas or mura.
Ako nung pumili ako ng bibilhin ko na car na second hand nde ko naisip yung fuel economy, basta sabi ko sa sarili ko i want that car... hehe, I of course considered the interior space and reliability.
Kung bibili ako ng car ulit, cguro nde ko consider yung price or fuel economy, basta pag gusto ko yung looks, performance and the overall package ok na.
Neither. My #1 concerns are safety and handling. My secret concern is speed.
Fuel economy is a bonus, but that's at number four on my list, after comfort.
Car price? Depends on whether or not I'm actually paying.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
diba most fuel efficient cars also tend to be lower-priced? except for the hybrids.
so you can usually get both
For me, its the car's price BUT the fuel economy will also play a big factor in purchasing the car too (especially at today's high fuel prices).Originally Posted by OTO
In response to the question, I went for fuel economy (which is why I chose the diesel over the slightly cheaper gas variant).
actually.. it depends on the budget you have when buying a car.
If you are going to spend P2M (and up) for a new car... fuel economy is the last thing you would have on your mind.
example, would you be interested in the fuel economy when you are buying the BMW M5 or Porsche Cayanne or Audi A6?![]()

Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
right on.
Take this example.
2005 Chevy Optra 1.6 L M/T at 599K but does 7km/L in city driving or
2005 Honda Jazz S 1.3 A/T at 690K but does 12km/L in city driving
thats a 90K difference in favor of the Optra
If you average 20,000km per year,
The Optra uses 20,000km divided by 7 km/L equals 2,857 liter/year at around PHP 37/L = 105,709 pesos
The Optra spends around 105,709 pesos used in gas every year
The Jazz uses 20,000km divided by 12km/L equals 1,667 liter/year at around PHP 37/L = 61,679 pesos
the jazz spends around 61, 679 pesos on gas every year
the difference of around 44,000 pesos every year in favor of the Jazz
So in the 3 year of owning a Chevy Optra, you have used up more money for gas than a jazz has including the price difference of the initial purchase.
