LSB may be referring to findings such as this: Motorists Wasted $2.1 Billion on Premium Fuel: Study | NBC Southern California

Blaze still remains as the only fuel with no ethanol content right?

For me I get a noticeably quieter 3-cylinder engine and no knocking. No knocking means my engine performs as it's supposed to.

With 95ron gas I get engine knocks. Lower than that, my engine sounds more like an idling diesel engine.

Oh I see. I was looking at the Euro-V angle. You gotta have Euro-V fuel before dealers can sell Euro-V vehicles. In that respect, this might be a good thing and could open the door for cleaner engines to become available locally.

The sooner that happens, the better.

Hope the DENR will test validate and recognize this effort/program.

Yeah that's what they said when Unioil was the only one offering Euro 4, while everyone else was Euro 2, that Euro 4 is much better.

When all fuels became Euro 4 last January, people weren't claiming that their rides were instantly running better.

Malayo talaga nararating ng marketing. [emoji4]

It's little to do with performance. Among the main differences with these fuel Euro levels (Diesel) is the sulfur content:

    Euro II - 500 PPM
    Euro IV - 50 PPM
    Euro V - 10 PPM

Sulfur is know to clog Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) of Euro V vehicles. (Diesel particulate filter - Wikipedia)

The quality of the fuel also influences the formation of these particles. For example, a high sulfur content diesel produces more particles. Lower sulfur fuel produces fewer particles, and allows use of particulate filters.

What I've noticed is that there's less smoke belchers most likely due to euro 4 fuel

Not I. Our Subaru SA discourages any fuel over RON98. Nagkakaroon daw ng problems with regular use. They suggested that the sweet spot is RON95-98. So I use RON95 cause it's already premium.

I contacted Subaru BGC and they told me the same thing. The FA20DIT is good with 95-98RON but not 100RON.
