"Extreme 97", which will be available in all SEAOIL gas stations in Metro Manila, reportedly gives cars an extra 3-horsepower kick, reduces carbon dioxide emissions because it uses ethanol, and cleans out the engine by burning away deposits like carbon, dirt, gums, and varnishes.

The high-octane product will boost engine performance and speed, while prolonging engine life. Equipped with "friction modifier technology," the fuel increases engine lubrication and prevents wear and tear. Since it does not use harmful additives, it is compliant with the Clean Air Act and the Biofuels Act.


The gasoline-ethanol mix will be priced at P39.05 per liter. This is about P6 less than Petron Blaze, which has a 96 octane rating, and was previously the highest-octane gas in the country. Currently, the highest octane pump gas in Asia is in Singapore, which has a fuel with 98 octane rating.

Yun nga eh... kz bata pa tyo dyan na natin nakikita ang mga father natin na nagpapakarga... hanggang sa lumaki tyo shell,petron at caltex parin tyo... ewan ko ba... kung iisipin mo ang difference ng seaoil sa shell and etc... medyo kaunti lang pero yung price ng bago mong sasakyan prang di mo pagkakatiwala sa mga ganoong company... di natin alam kung nsa standard nga ang refinery nila... ewan ko........ kz ang shell...etc, 80 yrs na yatang nag ooperate kaya prang safe ang car natin.... ewan ko.... matagal pa ang seaoil, total na makakuha ng tiwala.

Basta may shell dun ako sa V-power pero any would do kung nasa province kami.

Ung mga meron performance car bumibili ng SEAOIL E85 gasoline (85% ethanol-15% gasoline;105 RON), in containers, sa isang station sa Pasig City on their way to Subic.

That's the problem with some people. They are too "old fashioned" and not open minded to new things.

These small players have been operating for so many years na din. And so far, with the huge volume of gasoline they have sold over the years, kung panget ang gas nila, sana madame ng complaints na nasira ang kotse nila.

Whether you have a 3 month old car or a 3 year old car, as long as the station maintains it facilities well and hindi nangdadaya, then you're not going to have problems with their products.

Of course the gas companies would like to try to fool you using their ads like Shell using Ferrari, Petron using the Jazz to promote fuel efficiency, and Caltex with their Techron.

I agree with you tidus. But IMO when it comes to Premium or High Octane fuels, i might settle with the big 3's.

+1 on this. brand-conscious kasi ang mga Pinoy, that is, yung brand na nakasanayan na. pero dapat malaman din ang pedigree kumbaga, so that we'll not simply shun one brand simply because we are not "sanay" with it.

I think kung ethanol din naman ang pag-uusapan it is Seaoil who pioneered with e10 gas wayback in 2005 pa and now they're offering the highest octane rate which is +97. Ang vpower kase although one of the top 3 +95 lang talaga ang octane rate plus given the fact na mas mahal kesa extreme97. i've read it in many news articles nga na compatible naman ang '97 models up sa extreme97.

speaking of Total company, they're one of the O & G key players around the globe while Petron is only existing in our country. it just happen that they've entered our soil a bit late.
it's the petron counterpart in France and when it comes to project specifications they're a notch stringent than others. i come to know because had an experienced working with them. if i remember correctly, total is at number 6 when it comes to production?
but then again, gassing up on a newer station is still recommended.

Yeah Total is even bigger company than Petron. Although Shell and Chevron are bigger than Total. Exxon (US) is the biggest but they don't have operations here. #2 si Shell (Anglo-Dutch) or was it BP (British) basta #2 and #3 sila. #4 si Chevron (US), #5 si Total (France) and #6 is ConoccoPhilipps of the US (wala din sa Pilipinas). They are the so-called BIG SIX integrated oil companies of the world.

i have read about it on yesterday's paper. they said it is backwards compatible, even old carburatted engines can run safely on it as long as the fuel lines uses original oem parts. so it means the ethanol content really swells the rubber hoses. but at least they are honest to say so.

what exactly does a 97 octane rating do for a relatively new and modern engine w/c can run on 93 octane? maybe they are eying on very old engines w/c thru the years has built up octane appetite and also modified engines higher than 10.5 compression ratios.

mandated by DOE kasi that all gas stations must be able to sell E10 at least 10% of total gasoline sales... kaya strategy ng most oil companies is to replace a certain product with one containing 10% ethanol.

Hindi small-time ang Total. It's a French company and it's in the WRC. Hindi ko pa sya nata-try pero gusto ko sana, out-of-the-way lang kasi.

Okay lang kaya sa '97 City 'to? Hindi raw kasi compatible ang E10 sabi ng Honda nung tumawag ako. Kaso lahat na ng gas, may halong E10, di ba?

Iive been using that G5 Extreme 97octane when they introduced it on the market . here is no problem on my carburator type engine better acceleration and better fuel consumption.
