Don't spam me I just saw this.
Anybody seen this on TV? I saw it few days ago, but I didn't see the whole segment.
It looks like a canister connected to the intake and you can put used motor oil (i think) to burn it as fuel, dost is looking into it now.

I don't think it's vege oil, since you can burn vege oil in diesel engines w/ little modification, I don't this is it.

Just interested lang, if anybody knows what it is

Kinda weird... It sounds like a spin on the water/methanol injection idea used in gasoline engines. In gasoline engines, the engine intake vacuum is used to suck in the water/methanol through a venturi pipe located along in the intake.

From how I see it, you will end up with a slightly RICH air-fuel mixture. It might be good to use up waste used motor oil but I don't know if its good in terms of emissions.

Used motor oil in what? Gasoline engines? That's a good way to increase octane from 95 to 10000000000 (ergo... it won't burn! ).

GH is right... it'll just increase emissions most likely by making the engine run too rich.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

probably in diesel engines from what I am thinking.

And the mentioned "concept" is basically the reverse of an air-bleed device, like the Khaos or Aerogas. Air bleed devices make the engine run lean. That mentioned device would make it run slightly rich and the bad part is the oil will NOT properly mix with air so the exhaust will be full of unburned hydrocarbons.

Maybe it's a way of ensuring used oil doesn't go to waste?

I don't get this. air bleeds work on the principle of making up for rich running in out of condition cars... I've never heard of lean running in out of condition cars...

kinda... it's concept is similar to hydrogen/gasoline hybrid engine systems where the hydrogen is used to offset the amount of fuel used when idling or slower RPM range. At a certain rpm, gasoline is then used if more power is needed.
