They have started the upgrade in Batangas Province. I wonder how long it takes to upgrade a 110000 BPD refinery.

Matagal pa. They might not even make it to the 2016 deadline.

Tabangao is a much older refinery than Petron's Limay refinery..

Caltex can release Euro 4 anytime - importer lang naman sila. It's just that they're very kuripot.

OT: if caltex is kuripot and their fuel is imported from SG/SIN, does that mean the fuel shipped to the Philippines is of low quality and the good quality fuel stays at is port of origin (SG/SIN)?

Ser jut703, independent naman yung Euro 4 sa RON, say Caltex Silver(91) and Gold(95) EIV pag na implement na? Ende pa ako nagpa gas ng Blaze or sa Seaoil, magkano ba price difference neto? TIA

Unfortunately Shell will only be able to release Euro4 fuels by next year unlike Petron.

Im guessing Caltex/PTT will soon follow after Petrons Euro4 lead.

I wonder if ToyotaPH is testing the Petron Euro4 fuels on their GD engined test mules.

Yup. Petron leads with approx 36% market share, Shell has around 32%, Caltex has about 15% nalang.

Did Petron raise the price when they started delivering Euro4 compliant oils on the first week of June?

Too early to tell. It depends on whether competitors will raise prices to maintain the same unit margins despite higher product costs.

Nope. They can't raise prices because the market still cares more about price than product quality. The majority of the market will not pay an addition 2 pesos for Euro IV that they won't notice anyway.

No significant difference since your engines are optimized to run with Eu II fuel anyway.

Have not checked bro. But emissions are a minor concern since our thresholds are very high, and there aren't any pending adjustments to the LTO emissions standards as far as I know.
