May 14th, 2007 06:03 PM #1Greetings from Ukraine.
Going to buy this used Mustang
I hope you can help me: will the constant using of bio ethanol effect on this Mustang’s engine? I mean, wouldn’t it be bad for a car? The Authorized Ford Centers in Ukraine has no answer. The Ukrainian Ford forums also haven’t got a clue. So, I rely on your experience and knowledge.
Many thanks for any help.

Chances are if you use E20 to E85 ethanol fuel, it will have a negative effect on your engine. Ford's Flex-Fuel Vehicles (FFV) program was started a couple of years ago so I doubt if the Mustang can take high percentage ethanol fuel. But if you keep the ethanol/gasoline to 10% mix (E10), you should be fine.
