meron ng ganyang discussion dito dati. first discussion focuses on market factors. for one, oil (gasoline) is controlled by global crude oil prices. since may impending war sa iraq, medyo may oil scare globally, so medyo tumataas ang presyo (remember the law of supply and demand ng economics?). the second factor is the probable existence of an oil cartel locally (but who knows if they do or really exist), na walang magawa tayong mga pilipino pag napagtripan ng mga oil companies na magtaas talaga ng presyo. the third factor (which i think is really absurd), the the reason oil companies use nowadays that the reason for increasing gasoline is due to the implementation of clean air act (dahil daw kailangan nilang baguhin ang method of refining fuel).

there were also discussions here before na iboycott yung big 3, pero as far as i have observed, Total (the nearest gas station to my place), increased their prices before the big 3 did (last wednesday yata). so i guess hindi rin sa big 3 ang problem, kundi sa implementation ng oil deregulation law (oil companies can increase their prices as long as they want). oil watch movements (like that of joe concepcion) do nothing. nakakagulo lang.

kaya ako, personally, surrender na sa increases ng oil. what i am just doing now is to look maximize the fuel that i load each week.

come to think of it, increase in oil prices trigger increase of basic commodities, which in turn, trigger increase in inflation. one basic question is, how come inflation declaration of the government is still low?

    gosh!

...meron pang volunteer???

I think its just a taste of things to come... if ever the war in the mid-east breaks out. We'll all suffer from it. alala ko nun '91 during the gulf war from P9.00 to P21.00 ang inabot ng gasoline... haba pa pila sa stations. hirap sa mga oil suppliers natin lalo na yun local bilis magtaas kunwari magbababa... yun pala after a month triple ang tataas! crap!!! pagdating nila sa impyerno ligo sila ng gasoline one to sawa...
