Some of my officemates with diesel rides are recommending this para daw di mausok ang XTO ko. Thank you po.

That's a big no no... ginawa ko na yan dati sa Toyota 2C engine, after 500kms. bogged down ang injection pump, bili ng bagong nozzle tips, re-calibrate ng injection pump.

Diesel engines need cetane not octane from gasolines.

Foolish me!

Would you suggest that I have my tank drained? Would that 1 liter do the adverse effects discussed in the links given by Kimpoy? First time ko lang po ginawa. Thanks.

Amen.

Drain mo na kaagad then, ipalinis mo ang tank mo. I would suggest you put biodiesel on your next re-fill para mas suabe....Mr. Suabe!!!

I think there's no need to drain the tank. basta magpa-full tank ka na lang parati para ma-dilute yung gas...

but then again i could be wrong.

Nah... no need to drain the tank. Just fill it up like pajerokid said. It's no use to drain all the fuel, by now it is probably on its way to your engine. A liter would not greatly damage it I suppose.

Ang problema, there has been no winter season in the Philippines since the last ice age pa siguro.

Just keep on filling up with diesel to dilute the gasoline you poured in.

    objection your honors! :D

i'd play it safe TEAL. xwind XTO din ride ko. The worst the gasoline can do is dissolve the rubber fuel hose after the water separator and after the fuel filter including the rubber gasket of the fuel filter. pag lumusot yun sa fuel filter ..direcho yan sa fuel injectors natin. dissolved rubber will not burn... so it will clog the injectors... pag umabot pa sya sa cylinder.... ewan ko na.

gasoline is a lot more powerful solvent than diesel. to convince yourself, try soaking a rubber gasket in gasoline and in diesel. ewan ko lang kung di matunaw sa gaso ang goma.

best compromise... drain half of your fuel tank.. that's about 25 liters or 4 large containers of wilkins distilled water (6 liters per plastic bottle yun ang alam ko). then full tank mo ulit ng diesel para madilute.

kung gusto mo mag-siguro.... drain mo na lahat. better safe than sorry. ;)

the resident chemist RSNALD, has spoken. definitely better to drain your tank. how long ago was your full tank anyway? nakalahati na ba yung tank? if so, pafull tank mo na lang agad para ma-dilute yung gasoline.

ibang usapan ang biodiesel. safe ang biodiesel pre. yung last load, nung last EB last aug. 30. Loaded a full gallon (about 4 liters) in a almost half tank of diesel. alang problema pre. Na check ko na fuel filter and the rubber fuel hoses, no effect. lilinis pa emission mo...lalakas pa hatak.
Pero load muna in 1 liter quantities, then ramp up gradually.

You can call these numbers below. Start with a 5% blend. Ok na yon.

    rsnald,

isnt it the other way around? initial "dosage" is 5% ratio and then 2% ratio for maintenance?
