    ride:1993 nissan patrol safari

    mileage: 78thousand kms ++

what i have done for the last 2-3 months:

    1)change oil (castrol gtd)
    2)change fuel filter
    3)change nozzle tips
    4) adjust timing (is that the correct term!? ung "aryahan"!?!)
    5) uninstall muffler then clean it.

guys....sobrang usok na talaga siya....i mean..may usok naman talaga ang diesel...pero ito itim na itim na talaga....nakakahiya na eh...

so im planning to go to my nearest calibration center tomorrow again..."papasakal" ko ulit.,..but the problem naman with that is kinukulang sa power lalo na pag paakyat na....

    ano kaya masusuggest niyo dito?

    thanks....

try to blend coco methyl ester (biodiesel) at around 10% too 20% of your full tank depending on your budget.

try to get in touch with SENBEL FINE CHEMICALS (in alabang). i know alfalfameister tried it already. i also am using this blend in my pajero and strada. the pajero btw passed the emission test with flying colors (less than 1.0) last week notwithstanding the slight upward adjustment in the injection pump, i.e., increased amount of fuel.

    just my 2 cents

more info about the biodiesel. the long haul bus companies are already using senbel's coco methyl ester to blend in their diesel. starting next month, all government owned vehicles are required to blend coco methyl ester in their diesel fuels to be supplied by senbel fine chemicals.

four of my colleagues in the bank are now blending coco methyl esther in our diesel fuel at around 10% (two pajeros-1998 and 2000, one BMW X5-2002, and one nissan patrol-2002).

i don't have the tel. number of senbel right now. its however in the telephone directory. their office is in Richville Tower/Bldg. in Alabang Corporate City. the price per liter is about Php 40.00.

since I buy in bulk, they just deliver it to my house in quezon city.

Also in connection to mbt, temporary thing lang ba ito? Meaning after mo gamitin ito, resume uli yun black smoke? Or cleansing agent ito sa fuel injection... Parang additive formula din ba ito?

yup, the DENR's directive to all government owned diesel vehicles is 5% blend. the research done by senbel shows that 5% blend has a significant effect in the emission (lower sulfur content).

glennster, yes, you can get a jerry can from me. one jerry can is about 20-25 liters. okay din if you want less that this so you can test yourself. just do not go below the 5% blend. just text me when and where you can pick up the biodiesel. 0917-8165761.

the coco methyl ester is a: 1) cleansing agent; 2) substantially lowers the sulfur content of your diesel; and, 3) adds lubricity to the duel.

i also noticed that i can now consistently shift gears at a "max" of 2000 rpm. and... no more foul smell every time i start the engine in the morning.

to those interested, you may directly call SENBEL FINE CHEMICALS:

    Contact Person: Mr. Sandy Santos
    Telephone Number: 809-6109 (land line)
Address: Richville Tower, Alabang Corporate City

BTW, my emission test was logged in at 0.62 versus the required 1.25

    GlennSter,
Did you have the nozzles calibrated when you replaced them?
Did you have injection timing done by a shop with proper specs?
Either one could affect smoke production,ie, timing too advanced which will require higher cetane rating (which we don't have) or unadjusted nozzle tip would cause uneven spray pattern.
