Converting a fullsize sedan from gas to diesel

Just an idea I got from Singapore and Bangkok where they have taxicabs of the likes of Toyota Crown/Mark III, and I think I saw big Nissan cars also. Got to talk to those cab drivers and they say that their cars are diesel fed (wow!).

Supposing I get an old Toyota Crown 91-93, I think the price can be around 125-150T? Can I swap its gas engine with a surplus diesel one? Which engine? Does the transmission need to be changed also? These cars are fr right?

Thought it is a nice idea of having a 'big car (suspension) feel' without the worries of big gasoline bills associated with such cars.

but is the surplus diesel engine worth the cost of the swap? it might be better to import a whole diesel powered car.

yup its very possible for your crown to have a diesel powered engine.

i think swak dyan yung mga 2c engine ng FX tamaraw.

walang problema sa engine coz theres a lot in evangelista, banawe, cavite and pampanga.
