here is the scenario, the company has just given its managers an additional 50 liters of free gasoline on top of our car allowance. just submit your receipts for 50 liters a month and they will reimburse you with the value on the receipts. i guess this is in line with the high gas prices. may awa din and company namin

now, this is what i plan to do, please tell me if it is adviseable. i consume about 150 liters of gasoline a month (three full tanks for my 7g galant VR) what i want to do is this, when i am ready to get the first full tank for the month, i plan to get 15 liters blaze and have a receipt made, then get another 35 liters of unleaded and get a separate receipt. i do the same for my second full tank. for the third full tank, i will get 20 liters of blaze and get a receipt and then 30 liters of unleaded.

with this setup, i will have three receipts for blaze, totalling 50 liters, which i will submit to my company for reimbursement.

now the question is, is this worth the hassle (not much hassle really, except for the gas station having to make two receipts)? is it safe for the vehicle? will this actually give me a higher octane fuel mix?

    thanks

AFAIK, you'll only dilute the blaze.

for sure, bababa yung octane rating ng mixture as compared to pure blaze (96??) unleaded gas is only 93(??). I dont know if what's the effect on the engine kung mixture (oil companies should be able to tell you this as they know what additives they use for each gas grade). But if you really want to get the most out of your gas allowance, why dont you just fill-up your tank of 50 liters of blaze and use lower grade gas for the rest of the month??

Kailangan ba blaze sa Galant VR? kung hindi, why not go unleaded all the way mas tipid ka pa.

Based sa experience ko, lower octane gasoline tend to be consumed faster than those gasoline with higher octane.

Kung pano mo ma-optimze 'yong 50 liters? Share the ride and ask for the share for the gas... I mean carpool.

depends on your engine. IMO it would be a waste of money, if you put in a 95 RON into an engine which requires only 93 RON.

yup, gusto ko i-maximize yung use ng blaze.......

i tought about getting a full tank of blaze then the rest of the month, unleaded na, but i was thinking the sharp drop in octane rating might not be good for the engine. with the method i mentioned above, i would get a fairly consistent octane rating that would be in the 94 to 95 range.

anybody know what the recommended octane rating for the VR is?

    any other opinions?

andy...nung production ng vr, wala pang high octane fuel..as far as i know.

so i think recommended nun is the normal unleaded or super premium.

i use xcs nga pala with mine...

i think it will be better to just stick to one kind of petrol. i always fill up with xcs on the cefiro n bimmer. middle ground to be safe n economical at the same time.
