Lumina eh? Very unexpected because it has a 60s technology engine without the benefits of variable valve timing. I'm pretty sure it's not drive-by-wire either. Could it also be a marketing strategy so that Accord, Camry or 6 buyers will change their minds?
The X-Trail is also a surpise here. I expected the RAV to top this one.
By the way, how come there's no entry in the 1.6-1.8 class?

Take note: Sabi nila, these are the most efficient vehicles they've tested... not the most efficient, period.
If they haven't tested a vehicle or taken note of its fuel consumption during the test, it won't be there.
Of note:
Crosswind 2.5D MT - same mileage as Adventure... a bit lower in city if we're talking about the heavy tired XUVi.
RAV4 1.8 (which was still on sale at the time) - very frugal... smaller engine, and much lighter than other CUVs.
no compacts are listed: I'd expect the Civic 1.7 (still on sale, then) and Toyota 1.6 to be there... as well as the Nissan GX 1.3 (as it's the only "compact" left with a 1.3 liter engine).
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
What about Hyundai Accent 1.5 diesel turbo? It has very good milage and still has powerful engine!![]()
Yung Crosswind 2.5D m/t tipid nga pero medyo compromised ang power! (acceleration and hill climbing)
the chevy lumina was a shock considering its little Chevy Optra brother with a 1.6L engine can only get 6-8km/L.![]()
AFAIK, their bigger displacement engines are relatively frugal due to good torque, longer gearing and lower engine speeds than their higher-strung Japanese counterparts.
