93/94 Corolla GLI or 95/96 Corolla XE

Guys opinion naman pls! which is better between the two models? ano po ang pros and cons ng dalawang model na yan? yan lang kasi kaya ng budget ko na 170k. According to various opinions mas madali daw kasi imaintain ang toyota, easily available ang parts at durable pa (built for philippine roads daw). Thanks po sa mga magrereply!

kung gusto mo tipid sa gas, yung xe ang kunin mo. kung gusto mo naman all power saka malakas ang hatak, gli kunin mo.

hirap kasi sa xe pag magbubukas ka ng window or magla-lock ka ng door. although matipid siya sa gas.

pag gli power lhat pati makina malakas lang sa gas compared sa xe na 1.3 12 valve...mdyo luma na to kasi 1993-1995 ata pero pag 96 98 mahal kasi me airbag na din....mhirap pag nasira ang mga wirings kasi almost 10yo na....mga wire sa windows switches etc....

Wrong data I have to say. XE is not matipid because of carbs, but because it's 1300 only. In fact, an EFI engine of the same size is more efficient.

True. You can even argue that a 1.6 EFI is more efficient than a 1.3 carb, or at the very least, comparable.
