    Hi fellow tsikot members,

I would like to have your opinion on which of the following car models you would prefer:

    Toyota Altis AT 1.6G (935k)
Mazda 3 1.5 (945k) - currently the hatchback intrigues me
    Eco Sport AT Trend (875K)
    Honda Civic 1.8 S AT (948k)

if you could also rank them from #1-4, that would be very helpful as well

Most of the time, car will be mainly used for city driving and occasionally for out of town trips - North Luzon area. Fortunately, this will be funded by my company and the maintenance (casa) for the unit will be covered as well for the first 3 years.

    Thank you in advance guys!

Iwas sa mga Powershift ng Ford, di pa nila na-perfect ang technology. If you really have to choose Ford go for the manual version.

pero kung mazda 2.0 yan 100% nasa number 1
siguro bias ako kasi nadrive ko na 2.0 and 1.5 sobrang winner yun 2.0 parang its 2.0 or other car nalang ang choice

If you're a masochist go for the Ford Ecosport, pihadong masisiyahan ka tulad ng mga kakilala kong naka AT na Fiesta.

Iwas iwas muna sa powershift ng Ford, first hand kong naexperience sa fiesta titanium yung jerky unsure shifting on city driving ilang beses na. Sana nag conventional at na lang sila or kahit cvt.

    Ranking them:
    Altis 1.6
    Civic 1.8
    Mz3 1.5
    Ecosport

Why not include Sylphy on your choices?

You can't help it if some people have preconcieved notions on a certain brand. Nissan suffers such an image locally. The same thing with others who have a negative perception on Mazda. Both brands ran into reliability issues long before.

Medyo bias since i'm an owner of the new altis:

    1. Altis
    2. Mazda
    3. Honda
    4. Ecosport

Except for Mazda 3, I checked all the cars before buying. I was very pleased with the ride of altis and the space.

they still expect the muffler to fall off while going over a hump, the ball joints to start clunking around at the smallest road expansion joint, the engine to gargle fuel, and find it next to impossible to source common spare parts at reasonable prices...??
at least, the car didn't start rusting heavily on its fifth year, find its aircon severely challenged under the noonday sun, feel cold metal 'round the edges of the door siding, and see the directional arrows for the door knobs, reversed.
    heh heh.

but i am curious why the TS did not include the lancer and the sylphy in his choices list..., not to mention the koreans..

but i will agree... negative images are extremely difficult to erase from the eidetic memory of the buying public..

I recently got the 2014 Altis and I am very happy with the super smooth ride and CVT I chose Honda 2nd because I find it as the next reliable brand to Toyota I am admittedly a Toyota fan.

Curious lang, between the Civic and Mz3, why do you see the Civic as more reliable?

The FD had aircon and clutch issues, while the 1st and 2nd gen Mz3 had none. The FB is also Thai-built, while the new Mz3 is CBU Japan.
