Pahelp naman jan mga sir... di ako makapili between the two...dati kase sure na Altis ang choice ko but since tinanggal na ng Toyota lahat ng previous discounts and freebies ko...magiging parehas na sila ng price ng Elantra GLs.

Altis w/o freebies and discount ~ Php 900k + backup sensor, tint, etc + LTO registration
Elantra GLS with free LTO = 938k

Sa looks of interior and exterior, hands down Elantra ako...but I'm a little bit concerned about the performance and reliability of Hyundai as a whole...

I'm scheduled to test drive the Elantra this Wednesday...I have a bank PO already...

Guys...patulong naman jan...what are your thoughts?

Altis G pa rin. Masyadong stripped down yung Elantra eh pagkakaalam ko.

In afew months supply will be normalized so i suggest you wait nalang. Sayang din ung discounts malaki din un. But if u cant wait, I guess u cant go wrong with the altis. The elantra looks better n more exciting but its reliability isnt proven yet. Tapos siguradong waitlist ka pa...

Sa Elantra na. Since you are eyeing the 938k variant, its got quite a lot of standard equipment already. And the 1.8DCVVT engine is, of course, much better than the Altis's 1.6 and its got a 6 speed A/T to boot.

No the Elantra is not related to the Tucson whatsoever, and their engines are not the same at all... The Tucson has a Theta II gasoline engine while the Elantra has the Nu 1.8...

I still believe that the current spec Elantra is lacking. I would wait for a higher spec to arrive...

Epicfail na naman sa Hyundai...they texted the whole world claiming that the Elantra would arrive yesterday...tpos ngyon nagsorry sila kase next week na daw maging available since nagkaproblem daw sa radio installation...

I'm now adding Honda City 1.5e as one of my options.

    Showroom along Ayala.

Wala naman ata Hyundai Showroom doon tsaka di pa nakakalabas sa stockyard yung mga bagong Elantra.

    You own a Fortuner right?

    really ?!?!?!?!?!

wow ! that's really nakakagulat you know.

i was expecting better quality, montero sport VGT. perfection at its best ! mapapa-wow ka talaga !

niceness you know. even toyota fortuners ! its very nice that when i sat in the 2nd row i got untog in the headliner but i didn't mind coz the car was very nice !

thats a shame for hyundai even i didn't get untog when i rode in a tucson of my kalapitbahay.

    whew!

ok so my previous post was obviously a joke - sorry mods, inaantok ako eh. just need to be awake. pardon me.

if ever hyundai didn't really release the elantra lately, then how did the hyundai-along-ayala showroom had one on their floors ?

    fishy.

anyways, the loose TL's & HL's might be caused by a loose nut. & that's just so minor that you can even ignore it.

i myself had the same experience with my vehicle & what i did was just bite i mean ... tighten the nut holding my lighting system.

its not that hard you know. exercise rin yan pag iniikot mo yung nut, mas okay na yung nut nalang na yan ang laruin mo kesa dun sa isa.

    LOL

Fortuner, yes. Elantra is already at Ayala. May showroom dun.
