wow. SUPRA IS SUPER FAST BUT THE LAUNCHING OF THE SKYLINE IS NOT GOOD..NEWBIE. GREAT SITE MAN.THANKS
It's not that. The Supra is well-modified, and the Skyline is an old R32. They didn't even post mods and power levels for either car, and there was no specification on if the Skyline was a GTR model (it may have been an RB25DET RWD model). Not bad times for the Supra, but there are R32's down into the low 8's on street tires.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Also check this out, Nissan Skykine in action! http://media.eurotuned.com/other_nol...ph_tunnel.mpeg

hhmmm... whats under the hood kaya?
Kaya nga not bad lang... lots of Supras around 9 seconds in streetable trim.
Generally, the Supra makes a terrific drag car compared to the Skyline because it's RWD. The Skyline is a better dyno-queen (makes huge HP in testing) and track attack car (sets fast laps... though street Skylines don't have enough in terms of brake durability for long races) but the Supra is generally a preferred dragster as RWD generally has less wasted power than AWD if you're both on slicks and launching well. On street tires, it's sometimes a different story.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Enthusiasts still believe RWD best defines a true sports car. The Supra's chassis is designed to handle even up to 1000 hp, but its sheer size and weight are somehow a letdown especially for mountain racing. But it's an excellent drag car and also performs well at the circuit. As for the Skyline, I guess an Evo or WRX is more agile in the corners being smaller, lighter cars, but the Nissan is still a serious track and strip car with the right mods and calibrations. :D
The Evo and the Skyline are the favorite "track attack" cars in Japan. The current track attack king, Tarzan Yamada alternates between a fully modified Evo and a fully modified Skyline. The Skyline can dogfight well with the Evo, but it will run out of brakes very quickly because of the weight. I saw a run in the Mine's Skyline before with Kenichi Tsuchiya (drift king) setting a lap record. They said that the Skyline's first lap is ALWAYS its fastest.

may benta ako R33 skyline GT-R & 98 Supra twin turbo if anyone's interested ;)
the skyline posted here is not jdmsupercar under the hood & chasis.. only in the sticker.![]()

Not surprising, the handling balance of the STi is too understeery. It's really set up to be a daily driven road car. The Evo and GTR are true track machines.

may napanood ako video nung tinetesting sa track ung mines skylines. sigaw ng sigaw ung hapon na nagtetesting na sobra daw bilis nung skyline. hehehe 2 pala sila nagtesting non, pareho reaction. hehehe
panood ko naman yung review ng best motoring sa nismo skyline r34 gt-r z-tune. same weight as stock, pero 500hp and emissions compliant... naka brembos pa. beats the ferrari 360 challenge by almost 2 seconds in tsukuba circuit.
pero parang ayaw ko ng supra. widebody = heavy. Mas trip ko yung Toyota MR2, atleast yun lightweight at midship layout.

umm.. d supra obviously has more mods... r32's although are a bit out dated but pag well maintained / restored sya parang r34 na din to, I saw sa magazine ng sport compact car pitting an r32 vs. a jet frm S.francisco to Vegas.. hehe guess who'd won? And Lastly, a bit of info lang para sa lahat d GTR aka "Godzilla" was known to be d best over all jap super car of all time by motor critics all around the world. Err.. "sorry Supra, too bad NSX, but there's nothing quite like the skyline GTR" - Sport Compact Car Aug.2006 ish.. pro legend na kc ito bro. It's resume shows world wide racing history na other manufacturers r willing to die for, It set records for time laps sa famous German track nurburg, trashing its fellow imports, euros, muscle cars. Numerous win streaks sa Japan nung box type pa sya, then sa current JGTC w/c was named after the "GT"-R, b4 kc JTC lang ito but when the r32, let's just say became too dominating compared to other jap super car, japs named it after d skyline. (GTR by the way means Gran tourismo Racer). And guys did u know that it was onced banned in that tournament, nag rule change cla dahil kadalasan ang naglalaban sa final 5 e puro GTRs!!! and that these babies were onced used exclusively by emperors! Kaya ganito na lng ang pagkahumaling ng mga "ricer" especially ng mga hapon dito. Pro one problem nissan must face is pag naglaunch na cla ng GTR R35 WORLD WIDE come 2008 (NOT JAPAN EXCLUSIVE ANYMORE like the previous models), e mawala na ang image and reputation nito as a legend? I love all tuner import cars and not to be biased too but these are the facts. Haay.. maka pag P.S nga lang ng gran tourismo or need4speed- underground, o nga pala need to unlock the gtr sa n.f.s (need4speed) that is the final car to be unlocked there eh.
