Help pls.. 2011 Ford Fiesta or 2011 Honda City .

I am about to purchase my first new car and I would love to know your inputs about these 2 cars...

Which one do you think is worth having as a first car?

Kung sa FC ang pag-uusapan mas matipid siguro yung Honda City, pero sa porma yung Ford Fiesta lalo na yung Hatch nila! Ako meron ako Honda City 2008 at pagdating talaga sa FC ok na ok para sa akin. Ngayon kukuha ulit ako ng bagong kotse at Ford Fiesta naman kukuhanin ko kasi meron naman ako matipid sa gas na kotse(yung Honda City nga)! ;) Ang pagisipan mo na lang, sa porma o sa tipid sa gas ang gusto mo!

if this will be your first car, you can't go wrong with the City.

I previously had the same dilemna as you did. But in my case, i was looking for a replacement car (retiring my previous gen City). I opted for the Fiesta.

it's not an apples to apples comparison in my case. i had the 1.3 City and I recently got the 1.6 Fiesta. So the 1.3 City will be have better FC most of the time.

*TS - kung 2011 Ford Fiesta Sport vs. 2011 Honda City 1.5e, mas matipid ng konti ang Fiesta based sa mga Fuel Consumption Data base na nabasa ko dito at sa Hondacityclubph. Average ng Fiesta sa city 8-10 km/L while ang City 1.5e 7-9 km/L. IMO mas magiging matipid na ang Fiesta sa long drive dahil sa 6 speed PS nito. Kung 2011 Honda City 1.3s MT naman, no contest..sobrang tipid nito kesa Fiesta.

Yup. The Honda City 1.5 AT isn't really all that economical. The Fiesta isn't great (1.6 eh), but it has better gearing for acceleration and highway cruising. Even the 1.3 AT Honda isn't all that impressive compared to 1.5 ATs.

If you want a super-tipid car, buy a manual 1.3 Mazda2 or Vios... they're lighter than the City and Fiesta models, which makes for good in-town economy.

If you want a super-super-tipid car... buy a Suzuki Celerio. Tipid din sa space, though.

Fiesta. Don't forget to test drive them both first before making decision.

Fiesta, although my personal preference. Others may find the City better in terms of pogi points.

Yea if sedan to sedan I'd go with the city too. If the fiesta hatchback is what you are looking at I'd compare it to the Jazz to be fair. Looks wise I personally would go with the fiesta hatch. FC I think the Jazz/City may have the advantage. Good luck and have fun test driving em! My 1st car was a 1995 accord. I used it for roughly 160,000km without having any problems whatsoever. I have strong faith in Honda 'cause of that experience. I just hope they continue their quality control 'till today 'cause I haven't driven a honda since 2005.

If it were Fiesta sedan vs City in terms of looks, most definitely City!

C'mon guys, the Fiesta sedan is one of the ugliest sedans ever released in this country. That hideous and narrow-looking rear just makes me facepalm everytime

The TS strikes me as someone who's being sponsored by the parents In any case, the Fiesta wins hands-down. Don't get the sedan trim, it's butt-ugly. It's the same experience as seeing a beautiful woman with unwaxed hair

Bro I would recommend Ford Fiesta 1.4 Hatch... after reading and watching reviews in so many sites...all leads to Fiesta. Do yourself a favor, test drive it and you would want to purchase it off the bat.
