the lancer el variant still uses a carburetor if i'm not mistaken. aside from the above, di pa rin sya naka-mag wheels. although the later entry level ones were rebadged as "EX" models, may power steering na yun

97 "PIZZA" Lancers EL is different from the Lancer EX which although has a power steering, still uses the old itlog body lancers.

just think of it as the Sentra Series3 B14(95-97) and LEC PS which used the older B13 body(96-98).

anyway, EL and EX both still uses a 1.3L 12v carb engine. i like the handling of Lancers though very tossable, it feels as if it hugs the road.
btw, it should return with a fuel economy close to that of Corolla XL & XE.
also the Lancer has a lot of aftermarket parts and accesories (JDM, EURO, EVO look et al).

ang huling itlog eh, imho, lumabas ng 1996, although may mga variants na lumabas pa ng 1997. eto yung mga models ng 1996 na hindi nabili.

that's expensive.
i sold my pizza type 97-98, 117k.
bagong hilamos pa.
pero mataas na mileage, 160k.
pero still running perfectly fine. and la naman kalampag gano. and aircon was fine.
