GT ay top of the time during that time. madaling imaintain yan box type pero medyo may ka tagalan na rin at baka marami nang lumabas na paayusin but if you are willing naman na magpaayos, kung kursunada mo at maganda pa go na, mahirap naman kung hindi mo feel at pagtagal tagal parang nagiisip ka at bakit ka bumili ng ganito,

dami mods nun ah, but its still a 20+ year old car. a b13 sentra is bigger inside and out, and you can get those for 110k and cheaper. better mechanicals pa. next good bet is '89 corolla.

going further down the scale, a well maintained kia pride will be a better, more reliable ride that the lancer box type. think about it... dami na advances in engine design since the 80s.

both well maintained, my opinion is yes. pride has a surprisingly large interior. corolla has proven reliability.

we once had a 76 galant. damn thing had a hole in the passenger floor big enough to put your feet out to touch the ground (parang flintstone). lagi pa sira. if mitsubishi hadn't improved their metalwork quality in the 80s, do also expect major rust problems in the boxtype.

get the corolla. i think the pride's true technological age is ten years behind the official year model. it's an 80s car being passed off as a 90s model.

Di kaya nasa alaga ng may ari ng kotse? Kasi yun tito ko may '86 at pinsan ko na may '88 model ng boxtype, di naman kinakalawang. Or baka factory defect? Good car naman to and hot car pa to noong '80's.

I think it's better to go for an AE92. For me, it's just as classic as the box type, but is technologically superior, and is built to last until the end of the world.

Plus, the 4A-F engine of the Corolla is very economical, not sure if the same can be said of the 4G32. Oh and the 4A-F is more powerful as well.

I'd rather get a well-maintained stock Corolla GL over a modded but older box type GT if it's for everyday use.

Kung 1 year lang gagamitin, get something that's all stock. If your gonna sell it again. its hard to find a buyer who can appreciate the mods installed on that box type. I'll go with the kia pride, it will be cheaper. kung more than 1 year the corolla would be better.

Sir gambit sa boxtype 4G32 (1.4) at 4G33 (1.6) na 8 valve tapos ang Corolla 4AFE na 16 valve, ano po naman sa ng Kia pride? Thanks in advance.

For me corolla pa rin, kahit may 20 yrs na may piyesa pa, at mura. Yun sa boxtype may piyesa pa rin I'm not sure kung mahal na kasi luma na. (correct me sir gambit if I'm wrong)

That's pretty cheap kung well maintained. Good for a second/back up car, not of its going to be your only car. You can get a fairly decent B13 Super Saloon or B14 EX Saloon or a BG 323 LX that's way newer than that.

I love the mags of that box-type though. If i have 90K, i'd buy that as a project car hehehe

if i were in your shoes, i'd buy a newer car. less headaches and better performance. besides, the box lancer and others of that era had tight passenger space.
