Should I buy a 2002 Isuzu Trooper?

Hi everyone, I;m planning to buy a second hand Isuzu Trooper as an upgrade from my 2001 Revo. However, I've asked 3 friends and all of them discouraged me from doing so saying that: There are engine problems to this model. I'm conflicted, I like the car but they said it's going to be a headache for me. Can you share your experience and thoughts to this please?

yep road warrior. tsambahan yan. merong walang problema pero meron ding di masolve ang problema. me thread dito na up to isuzu phils umabot ang usapan. just search it. kung gusto mo talaga truper get the 99 or lower model. 4jg2 engine.hth

totoo sinasb nila na tsambahan lang .... my brother has an 03 trooper with the engine said above, going 40t km na wala parin problems regular maintenance lang ginagawa nya plus recently binaha yung trooper namin, umabot more than the door moudlings, covered yung wheels na pumasok tubig sa loob pero ok parin yung trooper detail lang

yup, get the 1999-below na may 4jx1-TC at may 4wd pa.. manual nga lang lahat..

hindi naman lahat ng 4JX1 ay may problema sa injectors. yung sa akin malapit na mag 100t kms pero di pa nasisira ang injectors.-2003 Skyroof Edition

edit ko lang po nasabi ko--mali pala, 4jg2 pala nasa-isip ko, not the 4jx1-tc(ung may common CRDi prob)

I'd be wary... i also test drove one with only 40K on the odo and boy the engine obviously had injector problems. I'd look more at a Patrol or Pajero...

my friend's 02 or 03 skyroof trooper injectors pinalitan at around 60tkm pero while it was still going strong after that binenta na rin nila for 850t kasi baka masira daw ulit. problematic daw talaga yun engine na yun.

if you ask me, my answer is NO. i would definitely go with the pajero if there was a choice. here in the UK you can hardly see a trooper or isuzu in general, they are not good enough for weather conditions here. but mitsubishi is everywhere and the all time favorite of britons. but if you are sure about isuzu then go for it, it's your money anyway.
