You could buy a Picanto (well, almost) with the change.
Certainly, the Forester is the faster, more able, and better car, but the Mazda6 isn't bad for the price.

April 6th, 2007 12:40 AM #7it's almost a case of apples and oranges here not just because of the hp ratings. The Mazda 6 is a midsize sedan while the Forester is classified as an SUV. But then you can always change the criteria to make the comparison valid.....
A more equivalent comparo would be the Legacy instead of the Forester.

The people who just bought at P1,395,000 must be pissed.
From the descriptions on the web about all-new 2008 Mazda6 replacement, it sounds like it will be bigger and more powerful. More like Camry/Accord. Screw global warming. If so, I guess the 2007 model year is the last chance to get it before it becomes more luxury/power than sport.
Can anyone who has driven both Mazda6 2.3L and Forester 2.5XT on twisty mountain roads comment on how their handling compares? Which gives bigger smile?
