Guys, need some points. Pwedeng seryoso, pwedeng katamtamang payo. Si kumander ang gagamit. Mahiram paminsa-minsan.

Price, economy, and resale value is not a factor.

I am more interested on which among the 3 is more fun to drive. TOTL comparison, please.
Additional factor is safety, reliability, cargo space, and toys. For city driving and some unpaved roads.

    TIA

Why not the cx5 base model? And add the options available from the dealer.

If the xv is on the table, wait for the next generation model, its coming next year.

The CX3 is the most fun to drive since it's basically a Mazda 2 that's a tiny bit higher, with a more powerful engine.

Very cramped though, and it's definitely better to go for a CX5, but since you don't care about price or passenger space, the CX3 should fit your bill quite nicely.

Personally I think the CX3 is unecessary as the Mazda 3 2.0 is more spacious, cheaper, and more fun to drive, while the CX5 Pro is still very car-like while offering much more space and increased ride height.

I would wait for the toyota c-hr. Slightly bigger than the competition. New 2.0 engine is very good.

kung may unpaved roads, definitely subaru xv. andun ung grip/control ng AWD + ground clearance. Pero kung minimal lang naman un and eventually magiging paved na rin, cx3 ako =).

overall maganda ung mga choices, its a good 'problem' to have.

My wife was looking at these three din.

The XV was on top of the list but when we saw how much it costs to maintain we got turned off.

The CX-3 was considered because she likes Mazda interiors. The back seat however is cramped and the rear windows are tiny. Definitely not for the claustrophobic.

She fell in love with the HR-V. It's spacious inside but not so big outside. It comes fairly loaded at the price (we're considering the E). The Brake Hold feature will be a big help in traffic. The steering is light and sight lines are good. There are concerns about the headlight intensity but that can be remedied with an HID upgrade if it's really that bad.

You might want to also try the ASX. It's bigger inside and it has a panoramic roof.

Among the three, Subaru XV is the cheapest with 6 airbags. It also has the best ground clearance at 200 mm+(?). Next would be the HR-V. Like what jut says, there's really not much going for the CX-3. You're better off getting a Mazda 3.

With the HRV and CX3, you are better off with a CRV or CX5. They are more practical when taking into consideration the price difference. The additional cargo space will come handy.

We're constrained by the garage space kasi. We can't get anything longer than her current gen2 Vios.

CX-3 actually has a better AWD system...

Still small inside, but if you're only ever sitting in front, you won't mind.

The XV has one of the best rides in the class... but I think the CX5 is better... livelier to drive.

If all you're looking for is something small and comfortable, the HR-V fits the bill.

The ASX is okay, but definitely on the old side compared to some of the better models out there.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I didn't know that, but I remember stumbling on a youtube vid of a cx5 vs XV in a fairly simple 'obstacle' drive. not sure what it's called pero kurbada na pa-akyat. Lol hindi maka akyat ung XV, while the cx5 had no issues whatsoever. Guess you can expect similar performance sa awd ng cx3.

Sir Niky, saw your video sa TGP. Baka meron kang additional points to look at. Planning to drive the CX-3 this afternoon.

Nice car. Check that you can find a comfortable driving position (tilt only wheel, no telescopic action) and that the ride is to your liking.

Note that the ride comfort will vary between the AWD with the big ass wheels and the base model FWD with the 16s.

    Hahaha...

    No.

Anyone has first-hand reviews on these oil-burners? It has ample amount of torque on low rpms. I guess it can match the quickness of the Forester XT.
Great initial torque, doesn't have the up-top punch of the 2.5 gasser, but economy is much, much better. More midrange means it's faster in the real world without having to wring it out.

No, it won't match the XT in a drag race, but in overtaking situations, the better transmission and more accessible torque means it's quicker in low speed overtaking or short squirts. But if you keep your foot buried in the carpet for more than a few seconds, it ain't going to match the XT.

And it's hideously expensive. The 2.0 Pro has decent economy, a better ride (lighter wheel-tire combo), better handling (little more lively due to the lower weight) and is better bang for the buck.

Why not wait for my pres to double the salary and reduce income tax that would increase your take home pay? By then you can afford the CX5, Forester or CRV.....or wait for the dollar to strengthen further and the VAT to increase and the sh!t to hit the fan.

Sorry, bitter lang and hindi pa naka move on.

At those SRPs (and no issue on the cost - from what I read),- my take would be to buy the next level SUV,- Everest, Fortuner, MuX, Montero... And, you have more options with your ride and ride space.

Unless, wifey is constrained to that class of vehicles... Or, no space in your garage....

Thanks, boss. Meron nang more spacious na SUV at may pickup na nagagamit. Kaya kailangan yung mas maliit dahil hirap sa pagparada and of course consider na din yung may nakakatuwang mga laruan.

Boss TS, I'm assuming you're not a JDM fanatic. Kasi if I will choose, no second thoughts on the HR-V. Very attractive kasi yung Mugen variant, hehe! Instantly JDM looks; no need to import hard to find Mugen body kits.

Among the choices, ok sana yung XV. Problem nga lang is yung availability ng parts (i. e. headlight, fender, bumper, etc.). According to some owners, they waited for months before dumating (not so sure though kung ganun pa din until now).

Unless you ran into some serious fender benders or a big accident of sorts, only then will you worry about such parts replacement. There are already a lot of XV's on the road so I assume the fear of parts availability is outweighed by its usefulness and versatility.
