    Mga experts,

These 2 SUVs ang pasok sa budget ko...

Anong pros and cons nila para po makatulong sa purchase decision namin?

    Thanks!

the rav4 is much smaller than the crv. in my opinion mas "feminine" ang dating ng rav4 compared to the crv's more macho styling

i'm not sure if the 2003 model yung may bench-style front passenger seat and third row seats, pero if it is, the extra seating isn't all that useful kasi masikip rin yung extra seats and pangit pa tingnan. also, the crv's gear shifter is mounted on the steering collumn, ewan ko lang for the rav4.

whichever car you decide to get i'd say get the the 2 wheel drive variant. much cheaper and it's enough kung regular driving lang naman

    interior space and cargo room:
    CRV

    Fuel Economy:
    Rav4

    4wd option:
    Rav4

As for the styling it's subjective but for me I'd go for the dynamic styling of the Gen2 Rav. its swooping lines makes it look like it's moving even when standing still.

The Gen2 styling is a bit bland on the sides and the rear which reminds me of a boxed van shape just like a vannette or a lite ace.

    I'd get the '03 CR-V. Get the 5-seater ha. The "10-seater CR-V" has a very harsh ride.

    Rav4
    + good fuel consumption (8-9 km/L)
+ the quickest among 2.0L compact SUVs (due to its light weight)
    + full-time 4WD and better OEM tires (fatter 235mm Dueler 649s)
+ very compact, good for city driving
+ split, slide, tumble & foldable 2nd row
+ better interior (two-tone grey & blue seats; aluminum-like accents; sporty dial)
    + better exterior (IMO)
    + good OEM sound system
+ good forward & side visibility
+ decent space at the 2nd row
+ strong brakes (provided they've replaced already the defective front rotors)
+ handles quite nicely thanks to its AWD & sporty suspension

    - harsher ride due to sporty suspension setup & shorter wheelbase
    - lots of cabin noise
    - small rear window
    - front row legroom is a bit cramped
    - lacks lumbar adjustment

as for interior room, I find it quite roomy. I was able to fit in easily the entire box of a gym equipment we purchased due to its foldable seats. without folding the seats I was able to fit in a wash bowl with a stand & a toilet seat.

If ur into big space and functionality obviouslly go for the CRV. But if ur a bachelor no plans of tieing the knot for the next 2-3years get the RAV4 bka one year lang magasawa ka na! because of the pogi looks of the RAV4.

gusto ko sana roomy interior and comfortable ride.
fuel consumption doesn't really matter; looks secondary lang since pwede ko naman isetup either.

thanks for the comments guys! keep them coming

The CR-V is quite practical. Large floorspace due to dash mounted handbrake and shifter as well as flat floor. Lots of storage space also.

The rear grab handle used to be a clothesline on the GEN I, ganun pa din ba sa latest?

Folding table and wet goods storage under the cargo floor are nice touches.
