Naka-usap ko na yung Bluebird owner and he's fine with the conditions of my car and payag siya ng straight swap.

Okay kaya i-push through yung deal, considering na stock CA20 engine (carb or EFI???) yung kasama sa deal and not the SR20DE?

Concerns:
I know the Nissan has a carburated 2.0 engine, pero how bad is the fuel consumption comparing to my frugal D15B?

Sulit ba kahit hindi ko kunin yung SR20DE niya?

Need to decide next week.

Issues:

Palit hood na (na-hit and run kasi sa may hood) tri-color apple green

Lowered talaga (pero done properly using authentic German lowering springs)

Bulutong sa roof at quarter panel(na-washover na pero nanjan na naman)

Aircon blower 1 and 2 not working (needs replacement resistor block worth P2000 sa CeeJay Aircon)

Gumagana yung aircon sa blower fan 3 and 4. Pag masyado malakas ang buga, pwede hatiin yung hangin through the upper dashboard vent ng Civic EG

Carbureted 2.0L engine would give you bad gas mileage and unimpressive performance. If you want that car badly, I'd suggest at least the SR20DE. But then... Bluebirds are pretty rare in the Philippines, which means model-specific parts would be hard to come by. I wouldn't recommend getting this car. I'd suggest sticking with your EG for a while longer or get a newer car.

If you are that much into modifying cars, you may want to get an EK and then do your magic with it. Or, if you want a bigger car, get a manual transmission A32 Cefiro. Market price is also at 100+k and its much newer by around 5-7 years and also more modern as compared to the Bluebird. You also don't have to do much to make it look and perform good.

WIK, EFI ang Bluebird. CMIIW, that's CA20 engine right?

as for me, maganda ang Bluebird ng seller but I wont even consider a Bluebird at over 100k mark.

1) it is Nissan, (no offense to Nissan owners, I am a Nissan boy too :D ) at 140K you should be getting a Cefiro 98-99 for a midsizer or a 96-00 Sentra Super Saloon at that price.
2) it is a midsize car. midsize cars generally have lower resale
3) it is older than your car
4) 2.0L engine of that era will consume gas like there's no tomorrow for sure.
5) your Civic is hotter and easier to 'porma' ;)

spare yourself from this.

The Bluebird pictured was fairly cheaper yet more loaded compared to the Galants and Coronas of its era (its main competition).

Sadly, though, the Bluebird's suspension was inferior as it would often bottom out. The fact that this car is "semi-lowered" doesn't bode well at all.

And it is overpriced for an early 90's car.

Your ESi still looks pretty fresh, the bluebird is well... a "nay" for me. Although Bluebirds in general are pretty good cars, a relative had one and its performance was still pretty good until he sold it last year to make a way for a new Sentra.
