Pick ups are generally utility vehicles, so the most recent and least mileage would probably be the best one to get.

Engine-wise, the Frontier and Fuego are the most reliable.

    Choose a maintained unit, though.

Based on your choices, yung Frontier ang pipiliin ko since yun ang newest among your choices.

    The Frontier or the fuego.

-> Both tested in terms of their reliability and toughness

Fuel consumption is not a big deal for diesel cars.

With 600k, medyo nakakatakot yung mga choices mo (mileage). Pinakasafe na ang nissan frontier.

Why not use the 600k for DP and find yourself a brand new pick up. Medyo malaki kasi ang 600k for a 2nd hand. At least, yung ibabayad mo monthly e katumbas lang din ng repair for a 2nd hand na hindi mo alam ang history.

Brand new = higher price than 2nd hand = warranty for 3 to 5 yrs = Peace of mind.

^^ Same idea here. For a little more you can buy a brand new Hilux.

if you have 600k, buy a kia rio or hyundai accent na lang.

parusa yan pickup as daily drive home to office to home. been there done that never again

basta ang ayaw ko sa pickup, bakit ko sisiksikin sarili ko sa pinakaharap considering malaki naman real estate ko sa daan to drive comfortably.

+1. You can never be sure about the maintenance history of second-hand vehicles, unless the seller is Pinocchio. :D

Problema lang sa brand-new, talo ka sa depreciation (ouch!).

*renzo = umm.. ganun din naman sa 2nd hand. Hindi lang pansinin kasi nga, hindi ka na pwersado na sa casa magpa pms. with insurance, ganun din. mas mahal dahil sa bago. you can also opt not to have insurance (comprehensive. yung TPL, mandatory) but at your own risk.

*Bogeyman : umm... kakabili pa lang, resale value kagad. enjoy muna natin ang brandnew. magiging second hand din siya pag magpapalit ka.

*Gen. Miting: well, that depends on the model of your pick-up. there are workhorse pick up, and there are also comfy pick up. (e.g. navarra, strada). ang alam kong real workhorse pick up are those from 1990's to early 2000's.
owner of a 94 pick-up. oo matagtag nga, pwede try mo sumakay ng brand new pick up, sigurado mapapansin mo ang pinopoint ko.

If it's planned as a keeper, mas maganda kung bago. At least sa iyo muna malalaspag, hindi sa ibang tao :D That's how I felt when I bought my Adventure brand-new six years ago. Hanggang ngayon, parang wala akong balak ibenta, kahit magkaroon ako ng isa pang sasakyan.

Meron kasi na malakas ang loob bumili ng second-hand, leaving it to the original owners to deal with the depreciation first. Tapos kung may sarili silang shop pa, they won't have to worry about maintenance.

The Strada 4x4, then Hilux, and Fuego 4x4 in that order, just make sure it was well maintained and have your mechanic check the vehicles. These are non CRDI diesel engines and should be good engine wise if it was maintained properly.

600k Budget, anong 2nd hand pick up and bibilhin mo...
