suspension is the only point where these two had a tie. Aerodynamics, that i don't know.
i'd pick the altis over the optra even when i'm deep-asleep. but since you're looking at second-hand vehicles, the optra might have some edge depending on the manner their previous owner used (and possibly abused them.)
no offense meant to optra owners.
I'd say:
1. Altis (on paper, at least)
2. Altis(eto sure na sure, even the 1.6L Optra is a guzzler)
3. definitely Altis
4. Optra (its actually known for its excellent handling and participation in touring car championships)
5. Altis siguro? At least that's what I can decipher by looking at the shape
Pero seriously. The Optra ain't a good 2nd hand buy. Your wallet will suffer much from the fuel bills and maintenance cost. Being a Toyota, the Altis should serve you very well. Rather uneventfully, but well. If you want to know more about them, you can check out motioncars.com's reviews about the two.
Get the Altis. Lamang siya in all except handling (which is negated by comfort and handling can be improved by some simple suspension mods).
We had a Optra 1.8L as service in the office and it was bad in terms of performance and had a very poor FC. I always thought it was a 1.6L until i took a closer look.
