which is cheaper to maintain? the adventure has been around for some time, so i'd expect parts to be readily available. The 4D56 engine has been around a long while too, so i'd expect maintaining it is cheap too.

on the other hand, the avanza has more modern, more powerful engine(1.3L-wise of course)

am looking for something for every day city driving, with the option to haul groceries and people on the weekends.

Any good old adventure will beat avanza.

Matagtag ang avanza unlike adventure pwede mo dalhin kahit saan. Long-term, adventure pa rin talaga.

As a city crawler, the Avanza works just fine the things you mentioned. The more expensive Adventure seems to be a more capable "can-go-anywhere" vehicle.

Hi mga tsikoters, kamusta kayo? i'm new here and the forum.

Planning to buy a brand new between these two cars (GLS Sport M/T & 1.5G M/T) when i get home next month.
    Which is better in terms of the following category;

    1. Fuel efficiency
    2. Engine durability
    3. Exterior
    4. Interior
    5. Safety

Let's say city driving home/office and family outing on weekends.

In addition, some usual defects that happened in early stage.

Thank you in advance and more power.

If I'm in your situation I'm gonna choose the avanza over the adventure.
    Why?
    1. Avanza is a newer vehicle model.
    2. The Avanza has Dual airbags and ABS.
    3. The Toyota brand.
    4. Interior is far more good looking than the adventure.
    5. Newer engine and quieter(gas) than the adventure (old diesel).

The adventure is a VERY OLD vehicle. Although many people say its durable. Think as if your buying a brand new 10 year old vehicle. The avanza is newer with more safety features and the reliable toyota brand. Our family owns one and we never had problems with it.

    Good Luck on your purchase!

Avanza basta 1.5. City driving it will be nice and feedbacks on newer models have been positive.
