For 150k, eto choices ko (in order):
1. '96-'97 Toyota Corolla 1.6 GLi (AE101)
2. '92-'95 Nissan Sentra 1.6 ECCS (B13)
3. '95-'99 Nissan Sentra 1.6 Super Touring (B14)
Hinde.
Mataas ang resale value ng Honda, so for the same amount of money, you can get a newer, better car from other brands. The older the car, the higher the chance that it's gone farther, that it's in need for more repairs, that there are less spare parts for it.
Maganda yung AE101 dahil maluwag 'to, mabilis, matipid sa gas, and madali imaintain dahil mura lang ang parts nito since it was once a widely used taxi model.
Maganda rin yung dalawang Sentra (B13 and B14) dahil ambaba ng resale value nila, so sobra pa yung 150k mo to get a unit in good condition. If you get a Sentra, may sukli ka pa for maintenance and/or mods.
IMHO, do not get a Honda if you have a very limited budget. I'd suggest a minimum of 200k and above to get a decent unit. Honda parts are also more expensive than its competitors. The best for me would be to get the newest B14 Sentra that will fit your budget. As a general rule of thumb, a newer car would mean lesser troubles for you.
If limited budget, ok talaga consider Nissan Sentras. Mababa kasi resale pero maganda performance pati porma. From 99up LEC PS to 98up GTS minsan may matitisod ka, another bang for the buck is 2000 Mazda Familia (Big Body na not the older 323 boxy) may option na all power efi meron din power steering lang-carb type 1.3
Kung ako hanggat maari better get 1.3 engine or lower displacement pa, for fuel economy...
97up Lancer Pizza Pie or GSR
95up Daihatsu Feroza 4x4
97up Daihatsu Charade around 60k+ only
998cc only tipid sa gas, lots of parts sa pasay. Built like a tank-japan.
97up Nissan Vanette may around 150k
95up Liteace
Pajero gen1 minsan may sub200
Browse ka sa sulit lots of choices.

I try to consider ung corolla and sentra..tutal most of the comments are boto sa sentra..haha..
my question about sentra..di poh ba mhrap humanap ng parts nito..cavite area ako..tska..what is the advantage of series 3 to series 4 sentra..and vice versa.
Mas gwapo (for me) and mas magaan yung B13 Sentra. Naka-disc brakes na rin. Mas maluwag naman and mas bago (less chance of broken parts) ang B14.
