Hyundai Santa Fe eVGT or Montero Sport GTV

Guys please help me naman to choose. my first time to buy a bigger ride. eto na lang dalawa ang choice ko.

Santa Fe 2.2 4WD R eVGT – FL AT P1,788,000
Montero Sport 2.5 GTV 4x4 AT P1,688,000

here's my concerns and needs:
alin yung bigger room between the two? 3rd row seat alin mas comfortable? mostly city driving lang, i'm from cavite so Tagaytay or Alfonso lang ang road trip. Fuel consumption - sino mas matipid? natry nyo na din ba ilan balikbayan box kasya sa likod? minsan kasi sundo din sa parents sa airport, so alin kaya mas malaki ang likod? Engine wise alin po mas matibay?

any inputs are mostly welcome. kahit biased ok lang, i hope matulungan nyo ko to decide. Thanks!

may friend ako dalawa ang montero sport ( 4x4 at 4x2 hindi pa GTV), may client siya na may 4x2 santa fe evgt pina test drive sa kanya. nung nagkita kami sabi niya "pare ang lakas pala ng makina ng santa fe at ang ganda ng suspension...akala ko malakas na yung montero namin."

sabi ko na lang third generation common rail na kasi santa fe with piezo injector, gamit ng mga german diesel like bmw at mercedes. yung gtv montero nasa second generation common rail pa lang. pero sa durability ng suspension lamang ang montero dahil pang offroad ang design nito unlike santa fe na pang city driving talaga.

advise ko test drive both cars then you decide

Mas comfortable ang Santa Fe. More space and the rear suspension is sedan like so comfort is ensured.

Again the Santa Fe is the King of the Road when it comes to city driving.

hinabol nya ang lambo sa SCTEX *200kph! di man sya naka overtake but he was able to maintain a close distance at puno pa rin ang fuel tank! It was a pre face lifted model which is a 5speed version. Imagine if a 2010 R-eVGT 6speed would do the same feat, of course mas mababa pa ang fuel consumption which I think even the new MS VGT I believe, definitely could not achieve.

Mas malawak ang likud sa SF kung kargahan mo ng balikbayan boxes. Masikip ang bunganga sa likuran ng MS. Mahirapan kang ipasok balikbayan boxes.

Of course sir, proven ang 4d56 ng MS. Ilang model ba ng Mitsubishi na sinasalpakan nyan? Halos lahat. Pero in the modern times, catch word na ang term na matibay. Sabi nga old is gold at siguro lamang ang MS dito pero modern engines are also becoming more matibay because of advanced technology in metallurgy, electronics and environmental requirements. Dati rati, monopolized ng mga hapon ang technology ngayon hindi na. At hindi naiwanan sa mga ganito ang Hyundai sir. Think about Korean cell phones, LED 3D flat panels...etc...

Ayoko ko ng pogi. Maraming pogi ngayon pero bading naman. Gusto ko may *** appeal however you look at a car. The SF depending on how you look at it is what matters. It can be looked as feminine which i can liken it as malandi tingnan complete with LED lights at night or it can be looked as a barako chasing a lamborghini at SCTEX at *200kph. Obviously, the MS can only be looked as masculine -pogi. Ayos lang kong barako ang pogi.

End of this year is the expectation of a third generation new Santa Fe model. So don't get carried away immediately just because MS is now offering a VGT version. With the current 2010 model, still the hyped MS VGT cannot surpass its specs.

Yan ang palaging impression ng mga tao sir who is far from the reality of the current trend dahil hindi sila nag re research bago bibili ng product. I own both almost identical utility vehicles HYUNDAI porter and the MITSU L300. Alam natin na dati they have joint technology contracts. But because of some design modifications done by the Koreans, sasabihin ng mga drivers ko mas ok raw mag drive sa porter compared to L3 because of reasons like, better braking power, handling etc... etc. though essentially, they are of same breed.

No it's not a factory built HID. You have to upgrade it.

pag full 7 pax ang sakay hindi po ba nabagsak ang pwet ng SF?

Kung 7 lang at ang weight ng mga pasahero are the normal asian size weight -di naman. Minsan karga pa nga ako ng sampu ka tao. At ayos pa rin.

Santa Fe ang vote ko dito. Overrated ang MS VGT. ang ka match nga nun ay yung previous SF. eVGT na tong SF na to. meaning to say engine technology wise, a step or maybe 2 behind ang MS.

gusto kasi top of the line para less mods sana. para in case of emergency din may mahuhugot kang 4x4. kung merong 4x2 basta lahat ng features ng 4x4 (except sa 4x4 syempre) nandun.

Opinion ko lang:
Engine = mas reliable ang makina ng MS
Comfort = lamang ng konti ang SF
FC = hindi gaanong nagkakalayo
Luggage space = goes to MS
Pogi points = pang-masa ang MS kaya mas kilala
