I'll go with the new urvan, well if you can wait for a few more months or atleast before the year ends. Nissan said that they will release more variants of nv350 urvan after they successfully launch the entry level commuter nv350. The one you saw with bench type seats is just the entry level of the nv350 urvan, its a commuter, just like the toyota hi-ace way back 2006 when they launch their all new hi-ace. Then after a year toyota releases their GL grandia. If i were you, i'll rather wait for the more variants of nv350. All new including the engine and transmission. And yes, as you can see, the new nv350 commuter looks like the hi-ace commuter, well that is because toyota and nissan agreed to share the body design of the fifth generation h200 body, the one that toyota hi-ace uses for almost 10 years now.
Maintenance wise, nissan still uses the timing chain on their new engines over that timing belts of toyota hi-ace. Hands down ako sa Grandia, pero sa bagong urvan na ako. Get away sa starex tci, under powered ang tci na starex sa sobrang laki ng body nya. Unless VGT variant kunin mo pero nasa 1.5m+.
Nissan nv350 commuter - 1.1m - cheapest of all the vans with great power and speed.
Toyota hi-ace commuter - 1.3m - way overpriced.
Toyota GL Grandia - 1.5m - Shame steel rims for that price.
Hyundai grand starex tci - 1.3m - fair enough considering the big body design of it and seating configuration. But don't expect much torque on this variant.
If you're not in a hurry to get one, wait for the better variants of NV350 urvan. Better performance, air conditioning, maintenance, and of course, pang masa ang presyo. No offence meant to the hi-ace and starex users, but the new king of the vans arrived.
