New 2.0 a/t Civic or Mazda 6 2.3

Would you buy the new 2.0 civic a/t or would you wait to save up some more to have the bigger Mazda 6? for a daily driver and occasional fun on weekends (i.e. going to tagaytay or batangas for a long drive or when you wanna teach boy racers during stoplights that their transplanted engine is good but mine's just right)

I'll definitely just save up for the Mazda6 2.3L! The price difference is minimal when you are willing to spend more than P1M on a vehicle.

The size gap is now a bit smaller.
The larger 8th gen Civic's class leading wheelbase is now 25mm longer than that of the Mazda 6(which is on the small side of the mid-size segment).

Actually... the Civic's wheelbase is 25 mm shorter than the 6's. But yes, they're pretty close in that respect... although, historically, the Civic has always had a long wheelbase.

What's more telling, actually, is overall length and interior volume. The Mazda6 is actually about 200mm longer, has 300 liters more interior volume and 100 liters more trunk space... but it is on the small side for a current midsizer... being closer in size to older midsize cars.

The overall length of the Mazda 6 is longer, it has a longer nose and tail (longer overhangs), but its wheelbase is a bit shorter.

the 9th Civic didnt impress me in person.... although it looks better than its predecessor, inside and out the 6 looks better.

mazda 6? hmm... ewan ko yun kasi luma mazda 626 walang binatbat sa accord kahit mas ok itsura ng 626 noon araw. it didnt even share the popularity of the civic esi's and vti's.

civic pa din ako. kumbaga sa romance, honda civic has more *** appeal.
