I have a sister who just learned how to drive in my pick up he he and I'm thinking of buying her a car of her own but my budget is just 100K, maybe a 89 to 90 Sentra or Lancer, which do you think is more fitting or there are other models that I should consider

    thanks in advance

kia pride, my employee got one for only 50k, mura daw sobra parts sa banawe, and he still had 30k to set up his sounds. he said, best bargain daw.

try mo sa union bank, mura sila mag-subasta (auction!) ng repossesed vehicles. meron naka-advertised sa website na nasa budget mo pero baka hindi pa updated yung website. anyway the prices go down around 10-20% every 3 months.

    see this link >>> http://www.unionbankph.com/shopping/...nge=&EndRange=

andyan address and map ng warehouse nila sa roosevelt avenue

better choice would be a 1993 Nissan Sentra 1.4L sedan.

i agree with ghosthunter... Nissan Sentra na 90s model would be best choice... not too old (so reliable pa), spare parts are cheap, and even the A/T na model gives you good mileage...

hehehe, just sold my 96 Nissan B14 kasi eh... I gave it at 140K, complete with sound setup...

Rolla AE92 swak na swak sa budget yan...
Kung Reliability ang paguusapan......go for Toyota! daming spare parts available kahit saang autoparts shop meron!

    I don't think that you can find a decent / well-maintained Corolla AE92 for 100K.

For 100K, good choices would be the Nissan Sentra (as mentioned by ghosthunter) or a Mazda 323 1.3L.

since she's a new driver, give her the safest, most reliable, and easiest driving car you can afford. btw, you're a very nice kuya...good luck!

Charade would be nice, but for the money and size, the Pride is a better bargain.

If she's just learned how to drive, then her first car should be one that's reasonably safe yet easy to manage. The Pride is only marginal if she has to drive on the highway, but in the city, it's okay.

If I were you, I'd pony up some more money to either make a downpayment on a Picanto (cheap, easy to insure, very cheap to run and more reliable than buying secondhand, plus, crash structure is as safe or safer than older regular sized cars) or go up to 150-200k and start hunting for a good condition Sentra or Corolla. Because any regular-sized car you find at 100k may possibly need 100k worth of repairs if the last owner wasn't nice to his car.
