For me: based on this two model & based on my experience.
1. Riding comfort - Outlander
2. Interior - CRV
3. Exterior - Outlander
4. Fuel Economy - Outlander , because of CVT
5. Resale Value - CRV pero not sure.
test drive mo, iba-iba ang feeling ng iba-ibabg tao e.. ako outie ako, its cvt, at maganda ang bigay na features e..
nga pala, 2.0 lang ang 4x2 crv...pero if you want manual, crv lang meron nito, 2wd, 6MT... but CVT ang outlander, new engine din to, not the traditional 4g64.4b12--2.4L dohc-mivec...ung sa crv, dohc din(ata) and ivtec.
pero kung reasle nga habol mo, wag ka na mag-isip, crv ka nalang.
Hi Guys,
Nabasa ko sa Autie forum na before meron yung 1.1+M or 1.2M+ na outie without the other accessories, meron ba pa ng promo na yun? If Ever meron pa, ano mas maganda compare sa 2.0 CRV AT?
The 2.0 li in the CRV is a SOHC.
=====================
Outlander 2.4 GLS 2WD = Php 1,248,000 less (Php 68,000 discount) = Php 1,180,000
CRV 2.0 A/T= Php 1,270,000.00
=====================
Hmmm....Outlander seems to be the no brainer choice here :D.
Outlander
+CBU (imported) from Japan!
+Aluminum ceiling to lower gravity and lessen weight
+2.4 li
+6 speed Invecs III CVTwith magnesium alloy paddle shifter
+leather wrapped + audio contoll steering wheels
+LED tail lamp
+ plus a lot more features for the money!
+Earned a high marks for crash from IIHS or was it NHTSA? Well so did the CRV.
- Beige interior color scheme makes it look and feel like a Hyundai Accent inside.
- Inside door panel is made of full plastic. Its something that is expected in a cheap delivery van or pickup but not in a vehicle costing more than Php 1M.
- Large dashboard makes precise manuevering in a tight spots, tricky.
- Visually, cargo area seems smaller compared to the CRV. (Actual measurements are yet to be verified).
The only problem with the 2.0 CRV is the rock-hard seats. (Why can Honda never get this right?) Strangely, the leather seats on the 2.4 CRV are much better... thus if you get a CRV 2.0, go for the optional leather.
Whichever Outie you get, you can't escape the plastic door panels. The Outlander drives nicely (sportily, in fact), but the CR-V has the more fuel efficient engine.
Personally, I'd like to get an Outie V6... but the CR-V 2.0 is an excellent value in this segment.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
a mas mura pa pala outie a!
cbu japan pa.. dun palang panalo ka na...
sa japanese site ng mitsubishi, sabi dun can do 12km/l sa 2wd, 11 for the 4wd.

Since you are after petrol-fed crossovers, have you considered Subaru Forester FXT? It is so much better than these two.
The problem for me for not considering the Subaru Forester is that I'm living in Pampanga, definitely no current Subaru dealership out there if ever I want to check the car for maintenance or any complains I will have, mahirap kasi kung pupunta pa ako ng manila to complain a small problem.
So I'm considering only CRV 2.0 AT or Outlander 2.4 AT.
It's very hard to decide now a days.

Wala bang issues ang cvt ng outlander like the jazz and city ng honda?
Im now in the same dilemma 4x2 outie or crv. both have pros and cons. But based on looks and features panalo ang outlander. Base on interior and resale value crv naman panalo. But now that the montero sport is out and wala na yung 68k discount promo baka montero sport nalang siguro if they release a 4x2 variant im sure hindi maka layo yung price
Certainly Outlander. It has more space, great 6 speed CVT, more toys, more utility, powerful engine, Evo X chassis and with that much to offer, who knows if the Outlander's resale value will be lower than the CRV's?
