Well at the given budget which is below 1m. He could get an Innova " E ". Equipped with power features etc etc. Newer design, what can I say more? It's a toyota :dunno:

Well hindi naman sa biased ako dahil sa owner ako ng Adventure but when it comes to engine, sa Adventure ako lalo na kung Diesel ang kukunin mo. If ever Diesel ang kukunin ng pinsan mo, 1 thing is for sure, kay Advie ka na hehe.

The thing is Toyota and Mitsubishi naman yan, so hindi ka talo diyan hehe.

I would also say na to go for the Innova E.

The D4D isn't so bad. I know a lot of people who own D4Ds (including dad), and none of them reported engine trouble. I'd be more concerned about ride height. Dad's office car (Innova D4D) wasn't upright. The front left wheel was closer to the well than the right front wheel. Better check that before the buyer takes the car.

But if TS manages to get a lemon-free D4D Innova, it'll be way more reliable than the Adventure. I have a friend who had an Adventure, and he had suspension problems, brake problems, and A/C problems. He had to replace an A/C compressor once. So based on my experience on the reliablility of both the Innova and Adventure, I'd suggest the Innova. And I haven't counted ergonomics yet.

Between Innova J and Advie 2009, sa Advie nako. Try riding Innova J and you will see how inconvenient to adjust side mirror, open/close window, and lock/unlock the doors esp when you are alone.

Durability?

But between Advie and higher Innova Gas variants then I will go for Innova.

We are planning to get 2010 Advie GLS Sport, come 2010

At kung may budget pa, I'll go for Montero Sport, than a bulky fortuner...hehehe

    Cheers!

Kung Gas habol mo, mag innova ka. Pero since wala naman gas ang advie, i assume gusto mo diesel. I have 2 relative na naka innova D4D, 2005 and 2009 model. naka experiencena din ng tirik or somekind of annomaly sa diesel D4D.

If Honda made one, it'll be in the "luxury" segment...or whatever Honda calls it.

Technically speaking, Honda did it already with the 2002 CRV that was classified as a 10 seater AUV to circumvent existing tax laws back then. Even with the 3rd seat, it was impossible to fit 10 adults into a CRV. Because of its classification, the CRV was only a little more expensive than the top models of the Revo, Crosswind and Adventure of that time thus it sold like hotcakes.
