    Hi guys,

Couldn't help but post this question...

I'm considering to get a vehicle for Uber / Grabcar and for family use and here are the options I found...

    - Hyundai Accent CRDI / Gas
    - Toyota Vios
    - Mitsubishi Adventure Diesel
    - Isuzu Sportivo Diesel
    - Honda City
    - Previous gen Innova diesel if still available

Vehicle needs to be durable and efficient.

Bang for buck and durability are the #1 considerations so I included Adventure and Sportivo.

Please let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks!

For 800k, I'd get a brand new Honda City E.

Check mo suzuki ciaz o suzuki ertiga sir. Nasa price range mo sir yung GL-MT/AT ng ciaz. Well if you want durability, Isuzu crosswind is the best. Diesel na...Pangharabas pa...

Nasakyan ko na ertiga sir, masyadong mataas ang tuhod pag nakaupo sa passenger seats, i was more comfortable in the older Adventure.

    Thanks for your feedback guys.

Btw, I didn't mean for this thread to be apples to apples comparison, but more about the possibilities with the same amount of money.

Are there any changes to the Adventure / Crosswind? Parang wala ata nagbago since 2000s?

Will you be using the car personally or will it be used exclusively for Uber duties?

The only diesel AUVs that fit your budget are the Crosswind XL and Adventure GX. Both are entry-level variants with very crude creature comforts (manual windows, anyone?) and no safety features whatsoever.

Good for pangharabas purposes, but I don't think UberX riders would enjoy it very much.

Primarily for uberx, to be used as family car when the need arises.

Take note that Uber only accepts cars up to 3 years old.

so, any car that reaches 3 years old from original date of purchase from the casa, gets stricken off the list?

btw, what about the almera? i find the rear leg space very nice. they have a basic 3 cylinder model at 630K .

    You initially said secondhand. [emoji854]

The LTFRB rule is, only cars 3 years or younger are allowed. And all valid cars will be allowed 7 years of service. [emoji5]

The Vios J costs the same but has a bigger engine, much better interior, more parts availability, and looks much better than the Almera.

IMO, for business, it's hard not to choose the Adventure and the Vios...

Yes the Adventure is old, but this means cheap and readily available parts.

Adventure GX has side facing benches, TX seats only 5... I believe you can easily find front facing 3rd party seats if needed...

*I'm not sure if this is true... But I've heard that drivers can easily select between UberX and UberXL (6 seats)

Better check with Uber/Grab if they will accept the Adventure as UberX and UberXL. 6 Seater should have higher fare and less competition...
