HELP! SUZUKI SWIFT vs. FORD FOCUS TREND A/T

[SIZE=4]Good day mga tsikoteers. Hingi lang sana ng payo regarding sa pagbili ng bagong kotse. Namimili po ako between SUZUKI SWIFT or FORD FOCUS 1.8 TREND A/T. ano mo masasabi nyo in terms of specifications, atbp at fuel efficiency?

open din po ako sa ibang suggestions basta below 900k ung price nung oto. fan po kasi ako ng mini at mga hatch.

Dito po pala ako baguio city, baka sakaling makaapekto ung location sa pagpili ng sasakyan.

If you can afford the Focus Trend..then get it!

The 1.8L engine has almost the same power of a conventional 2.0L engine and efficiency of a 1.6L engine (both Ford Duratec Engine). Di ka mabibitin dito sa baguio an the Focus hatch boasts larger cabin room than the Swift. People are going for swift (compact cars) basically because of the good pricing.. but FGP wants more sales..so they lowered the price of the Trend.

[SIZE=3] thanks sir for the quick response... i really wanted a swift because i'm a big fan of mini's but then i saw the specs of the ford and it really caught my attention because it has better engine. And i'm thinking about the reliability of suzuki compared to ford...

both cars are great, and i would want to have them both... hehehehe.
but of course, the focus is bigger. but imho, the trend a/t (not the crdi one) is heavier so that of course, if you are to measure the power vs. weight, mas lamang ang swift.

Hmmm... tough choice.

But between the two... I'll get the Swift just for its looks. Yes - it maybe cramped compared to the bigger Focus but you're not buying a Swift for its practicality. :cool01:

The Ford Focus also is nice... but personally - I'll only consider the TDCi (diesel) variant. The Focus would have a better ride & have more room but aesthetically it lacks the appeal of the Swift.

in terms of FC/FE, i think the swift has a slight edge, because of my previous post. the weight of the focus is kinda heavier than the swift, which requires more power.

but since the engine of the swift is powerful enough with a lighter body mas ok ang FC/FE nya.

Swift for me this time, the Focus Trend is parang base line model ng Ford. Kung Focus na rin lang why not the TDCI version.

the swift has FC/FE comparable to a honda jazz. but the really GOOD thing about it is the handling, which is kinda fun and practical for city use. but if you plan on long trips and a bit of engine kick then the focus tdci is the way to go! :D

Test drive the cars. Everyone is just stating their opinion and the final choice will be yours to make as you will be the one paying for and using the car. Their opinion may not fit what you want in a car so you have to test drive and see which car you prefer.

sir yung FF trend kasi is the baseline model, meaning that the amenities and features are reduced for cost cutting .. so if medyo maarte ka sa auto then mas mapapagastos ka dahil youll need some modification unlike sa SWIFT na konting enhancement nalang needed ..

ano po ba usually kasama kapag bumibili ng new car ( like promos)?

sa dealer ko po kasi, may discount na 10k tapos kasama mga usual na accessories like cover, car sear cover, etc...

ok lang po ba ung deal na ito?
