Let's say I have 300-320k cash on hand. What's the best 2nd car available out there thats within this range? I am considering either a Civic, Altis, or M3. Don't have a lot of knowledge kasi when it comes to older models.

A used Civic FD (2006-2008) or Jazz GE (2009-2011) or Altis 2008 or younger, if you can find one. You can also check out some Focus 2.0 (2006-2008) or Mazda3 2.0 (2005-2008) at that budget. You can also consider a late model Nissan Sentra GS (2009-2011) as they are usually priced low in the used market. You might even get lucky and find a low mileage Mazda6 2.3L (2006-2008) at around that price.
All these cars are over 300k, closer to 400k. The only cars 300k or under are the ES Civics, and early model (2004-2005) Mz3 2.0s and the Focus 2.0 gas. That doesn't include repairs yet.
I was also looking for a Mazda 6 2.3 before, but the good units are at least 380k. Parts are also a pain to find, says my cousin who got a flooded Mz6 and was never able to return it to useable shape since parts were impossible to source.
There are some sellers who will gladly take a few thousand off their asking price if they need cash in a hurry.
A Nissan Sentra GS within 2006-2008 will be less than 300k in the used market.
Thanks for your suggestions!
I'm driving a 2014 M3. It's my first car so I really don't have a lot of knowledge regarding older models.
Its not actually me who's gonna be using the 2nd hand car, its my sister.
May I also ask if your suggestions also take into account maintenance, parts and fuel consumption?
Medyo high ride lang avanza, pero kung like naman ng sister mo eh low ride. Try vios.

Thanks!
By the way forgot to mention that she has plans of selling the car after 3 years.
So far we found a 2008 Civic 1.8s at 332k, a 2010 m3 1.6 at 315k, and a 2009 m3 2.0 at 330k. All from individual sellers.
If resale value is of a big concern, then go for the Civic FD 1.8s. This will retain better value compared to the Mazda3. Fuel efficiency would be around the same among your choices. The Mazda3 1.6L is just about the same FC as its more powerful 2.0L brother. However, make sure to test drive all choices and choose the best maintained car.
You can consider hatchback cars like
Honda Jazz
Toyota Yaris
Mazda 2
Ford Fiesta
Mitsubishi Mirage

If resale value is important, there is nowhere better to go than Toyota. They may not offer the best performance or fuel efficiency, but reliability is their game. A 1.6L Altis still gets decent gas mileage, not far off from the much smaller 1.5 Vios.
