There is a significant price difference between the two.

I would get the Everest between the two. More features like panoramic moonroof and powered tailgate. Power 3rd row. Lighter steering in traffic. Active noise cancellation. Sync3 and 10 speakers. Crosstraffic alert. 20inch rims. Lane departure warning and lane keep assist for those expressways. 800mm wading depth capability. Higher ground clearance. Front sensors. 230v inverter. HID headlights.

All mentioned features are not available on the montero sport.

2inch liftkit is now available for the Everest also.

Was also in the same situation before(fortuner included). Please do a test drive for both cars and decide for yourself. Noong una medyo decided na ko sa Montero GT dahil sa nabasa kong comparison from a car magazine. Pero iba yung ikaw na mismo ang mag try kesa mag base ka sa mga nababasa mo lang. After two test drives, the everest was the clear winner for me. The things that turned me away from the Montero were the interior (for me it feels cheap), lack of low down torque (as in mabagal sya unless you really press the pedal hard), and the back of the car. But on the positive note, the Montero has the most comfortable ride among the three.

On the other hand, I think these are the features of Montero GT not in Eve Titanium

    8AT
    Paddle shifter
    Tire pressure monitoring
    Navigation
    Apple/Android Autoplay, Mirror
    Immobilizer
    Brake assist
    Forward Collision Mitigation
    BLindspot warning
    Push start/stop

The premium package is worth it, and the Everest would still be cheaper than the top of the line Montero.

8AT - yup, 6 speed lang ang Everest.
Paddle shifter - nice to have, one of my gripes on the Everest not having it, although come to think of it, truck based SUV naman, kaya ok lang.
Tire pressure monitoring - Everest has a low tire pressure alert only, no actual readings. Bakit nga di na lang kaya ilagay din ng ford yung readings?
Navigation - meron, sync 3 can mirror your favorite nav apps on ur iphone/android phone
Apple/Android Autoplay, Mirror - meron, sync 3 have these
    Immobilizer - meron
    Brake assist - meron
Forward Collision Mitigation - meron, although alert lang via HUD, but pre charges the brake. I have a friend na may montero GT, nearly had an accident when doing a hail mary pass, as it suddenly braked, with the car on the other lane almost hitting him....
BLindspot warning - meron din ang Everest

8AT - yup, 6 speed lang ang Everest.(okay 8 speed or higher if youll tow a caravan or carry heavy loads lalo na on inclines. Pero if ma stuck ka lang sa city traffic araw araw, overkill ang 8.)

Paddle shifter - nice to have, one of my gripes on the Everest not having it, although come to think of it, truck based SUV naman, kaya ok lang.
(May +/- naman sa stick shift so nandun pa rin ang option and function to use manual mode if needed.)

Tire pressure monitoring - Everest has a low tire pressure alert only, no actual readings. Bakit nga di na lang kaya ilagay din ng ford yung readings?(Pede ma view actual tire pressure readings via cp apps(torque pro) and bluetooth obd2 adaptor or pede rin via scangauge.)

Navigation - meron, sync 3 can mirror your favorite nav apps on ur iphone/android phone
Apple/Android Autoplay, Mirror - meron, sync 3 have these.(+ ganda rin stock sounds ng eve 10speakers, may woofer na at center speaker, okay din voice commands like tuning ng radio at set ng aircon temp, etc.. Hehe..)

Search for basag salamin gang sa youtube and youll get what I mean. May MyKey rin, ung isang key pede mo i program speed limit, radio max volume, etc... para if may anak or bayaw ka na medyo ricer pede mo iset sa 60kph max speed pag hiniram nya eve. Hehe..)

    Brake assist - meron

Forward Collision Mitigation - meron, although alert lang via HUD, but pre charges the brake. I have a friend na may montero GT, nearly had an accident when doing a hail mary pass, as it suddenly braked, with the car on the other lane almost hitting him....(meron pati auto brake, can be turned ON/OFF pa.)

BLindspot warning - meron din ang Everest

Keyless entry - okay in 5years, pag tumagal at naluma na sakit sa ulo pag nasira module. Or uso ngaun sa ibang bansa like credit card theft, high tech na rin theft nakukuha code ng keyless entry na mga oto. Madali ma hack ng mga millennialls. Lapit lang sila sa oto maunlock na nila pinto at start engine since ala na physical key to turn...

Immobilizer: wala sa eve (but can be upgraded)
    Brake assist: meron
    Forward Collision Mitigation: meron
