Hyundai Sta Fe / Kia Sorento

I'm torn between them.

Hyundai Sta Fe (Availble) 1.528M (???)
2.2L CRDI w VGT - 150hp*4000 / 335Nm*1800-2500


Kia Sorento (Soon na daw)
2.5L CRDI w VGT - 190hp*3800 / 320Nm*2000

I think Santa Fe is great! Knowing that it competes with Acura and Lexus's luxury SUV!

Stick with the one that gets better fuel economy. Gas prices are expected to go up and up and up. Too much Horsepower on our roads is not a big advantage.

Hyundai owns Kia, I think these are two same vehicles probably build in the same platform, they just differ in style. Sa porma I'll go with the Kia Sorento.

hmmm... daming features kasi ng santa fe... sana yung 170hp na engine ang nakasalpak sa santa fe...

I got to see the inside of the Sta Fe * SM MoA. it's classy and somewhat luxurious. hindi ka papahiyain ng auto na ito if you'll entertain other execs from other companies/countries.

my dad drives an explorer EB and even he thinks this Hyundai looks better inside and out.

ganda ng headlights ng sta.fe! may nakasalubong ako isang gabi, kakainis, kakasilaw ng lights niya, yun sta.fe pala. mas luxurious ang sta.fe compared to sorento but i prefer the sorento kasi mas sporty sya.

I have test driven both already but within 8 months interval between each other. The Sorento was tested last year. The Sta Fe just last March 31, 2007.

In terms of looks, both are close and in fact, subjective. If you like curves and a coke bottle shaped body, then the Sta Fe is it. On the other hand, the Sorento has a more muscular, chunky and bulkier body.

In terms of interior looks, luxury, and comfort. The Sorento has a drab gray interior scheme coupled with passenger seats that are way too soft. The Sta Fe, on the other hand, has a very sleek black interior scheme and clad in luxurious leather.

In terms of engine performance, the Sorento is a bit clumsier to accelerate while the Sta Fe is so eager that you can also feel the front end lounging forward at the slight hint on the accelerator! If I remember correctly, the Sorento has the noisier engine bet. the two.

Overall, I like the Sta Fe so much better. Well, except the price and the inadequacies of more airbags.

Maganda talaga ang Santa fe pero pag dadating nga ang Sorento VGT with 170 ba o 190 hp, Sorento pa rin ako since I like more power kasi. Sarap na nga ihataw ang current Sorento na 145 hp lang, what more kung 170 0 190 hp with VGT pa. Baka may 3rd row seat na rin itong VGT Sorento. Kung ako lang maraming pera, gagawin ko Santa Fe pang city at cutie cutie driving ko at Sorento VGT naman pang off city at offroad driving. Di ba magandang combination itong dalawa ...hehehe
