I started a thread earlier seeking advice kung anong 2nd hand 1600cc car. I wanted really to buy a brand new car but mahirap kasi nga mahal ang monthly and maintenance...

habang wait ako ng funds to buy a car, I have been intrigued by the Hyundai Getz CRDi...

kasi parang all the stuff eh nandun na... tapos CRDi pa... eh di tipid nun! kaya eto, nalilito na naman ako... should i take the plunge and buy a second hand Japanese 1600 sedan (A Nissan Sentra Series 3 preferably) or should I just wait and save and get a new Getz CRDi instead?

I am after a car that's fuel efficent, powerful, tapos all power na din... =)

Getz Owners, help me naman... FC and actual maintenance costs of Getz CRDi please....

it would be really helpful... thanks po!!!!

hmm that's cool... i want figures though from CRDi users... saka on the first year, how much yung maintenance costs? like for the 1k, 5k, 10k and so on check ups.. kasi po gusto ko malaman yung real world costs of owning a getz... plus, been hearing some probs daw with some getz... wanted to make sure lang pa di rin ako maipit... =)

any Getz thread here? thanks guys!

    sir try checking other subforums...

bout dun sa inquiry mo, id go for the brand new car.. lalu na kung ang option mo is hyundai getz, super good buy for ur money... as for fuel consumption, isa sa pinakamatipid ang getz kase maliit lang yung makina nya... kung power naman hanap mo at tipong gus2 mong kumarera everytime u hit the streets chempre out na mga subcompact cars seo... as for maintenance, mas madali at mas mura imaintain ang brand new car compare sa 2nd hand.. less hassle kase pag first owned tlga...

actually i am seriously considering the Getz CRDi... kasi nga a lot of power, lot of torque tapos sobrang fuel efficient pa... sensya na po kung tamad but i actually haven't seen a getz thread here kasi medyo madami na din naman pong thread di ba? i have checked out the GetzClub forums but parang sa akin, since Getz owners sila, baka biased sila towards the Getz

questions na gusto ko masagot ay:
Real World Fuel Consumption of the CRDi
total cash out sa 1k, 5k, 10k, 20k and so on for the CRDi. kasi if i'd be saving for it tapos di ko naman pala kaya ang maintenance, patay tayo dun di ba?
lastly, negative feedbacks about the CRDi model.. kasi sya talaga ang gusto ko... hope Getz owners would help me on this... yung walang bias talaga ah? thanks uli!!!!!

City could go up to 17 km/l. HW close to 30.

Should be just a bit higher than the gas:

1k, 5k, 15k... mga minor lang. Almost change oil lang. Mas mahal kaunti oil filter at cyempre mas marami ng konti oil since 1.5l cya.

10k, 20k, 30k... medyo overhaul.

lastly, negative feedbacks about the CRDi model..
So dapat alalay lang.

    My recommendations:

In fact tipid pa ito vs most of them.

Check ur route. Kung masyadong malubak, stay away from any Korean car.

Sulit ang CRDi if ur really have the need for speed.

    Go for the Getz CRDi

    or

Wait for the Hyundai i30 CRDi, (138Hp)

Green Car of the year & Car of the Year awards.

Out na ito sa ibang bansa (Europe) so it should be here shortly (baka nag-uubos lang ng Getz stocks).

    Hyundai Australia: http://www.i30.com.au/

    Hyundai UK: http://www.hyundai.co.uk/newCars/i30/

if you're the type na mahilig mag DIY, then 1600, dami ok pa na altis, civic ES and the likes... pero siyempre dapat magaling ka ring kumilatis ng 2nd hand...

iba pa rin ang compact sa sub-compact....

Kung mostly city driving ka lang, I say go get the getz. Kung mostly highway/provincial AND marunong ka magpagawa/maintain, 2nd hand compact.

If you're looking at secondhand cars, the Getz actually has better headroom and comparable or superior legroom to many old cars (like the previous Sentra, and my Lynx). About the only reasonable thing you can get with better space secondhand would be an older Altis.

Tama si hominid... the Getz's suspension really isn't matched to the power of the 1.5 CRDi... kakatakot ang lakas, pero ang lambot ng suspension. Mas bagay siya sa 1.1

The Getz CRDi does about 17 km/l in the city, and up to 25 or 30 on the highway. But if you're willing to forgo power mirrors and an integrated alarm/immobilizer (mura lang naman ang aftermarket alarm), the Getz 1.1 is actually a good buy. It can also get 14 km/l to 17 km/l if you drive it properly... and at the price, it isn't much more of an investment than a secondhand 1600 sedan, and will be cheaper to own, overall.

The one big advantage of the diesel is highway speed and overtaking power. Fuel economy is a bonus, but for over 100,000 pesos more, it'll take you a long time to make back that money in fuel savings.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
