for a second hand car for coding/toycar/weekendcar... what would you prefer...

    circa 98 Rav4, 3 door or a 2000 model HRV... both manual

they both have the same market value as of today... around 350T

considering the rav 4 will be older:

    1.whats best for reliability
2.and if I dispose, which will have better resale

    Thanks

Among your choices, sa 3-door Rav4 ako. The HRV just looks too weird for my taste.

If you really want a Honda, I think pasok naman yung budget mo for a first-gen CR-V.

    Same sentiments ako with Bry.

Among the two, sa 3-dr Rav ako.

But if you want a Honda, and more than 2 will ride often, reco to go for the Gen1 CRV instead.

Good luck in your 2nd car choice.

lingid sa kaalaman nyo, mas practical ang HRV kaysa sa crv, may real-time 4wd, manual tranny, at 1600cc lang ang makina(d16 ata yun), di siya guzzler compared sa ravs and crvs...

    Thanks for all your replies...

Honda HRV is roughly 100T cheaper than a 1st gen CRV (of the same year/condition)

Most Rav4 (3door) I have seen have high mileage, maybe due to age.

I am also more biased with Toyota, but again some age/year/mileage factor I am considering.

I guess most people will still choose Rav4... safer again for disposal (i only intend to keep it max of 2 years)

    RAV4.

although mas practical ang HRV, pero as you said.. it's gonna be a weekend car naman eh. might as well enjoy the fun looks and extra power from the 2.0L RAV4.

oi nde ah... Fuel injected na Rav... and dont worry...about high mileage... as long as sinundan ng owner ang maintenance at pagpalit ng mga nagbreakdown na parts, bumabalik sa dating takbo, performance at reliabilty nung Rav!

HR-V might be underpowered with its non-VTEC 1.6. The RAV 3-door has the same engine as the Corona, providing the needed punch. I'd pick this cute-ute spearhead over the goofy high-rider with a Volvo rear.

mukhang ako lang may type sa HR-V,a..

although i like the bootie-rav4 also, well, practically nga, HR-v, pero if you want a week-end and a daily ride, bootie rav4 parin..iksi ang wheel base plus madaling tumangi ng mga "sabit",e.....(palusot->"wala ung upuan kasi sa likod,e....")

bosing mukhang ikaw nga lng ang HR-V.... pro tama k practical HR-V pro reliabilty and resale syempre RAV4 tyo... so i will choose RAV4... spareparts will not be a big problem in the future...tpos d p pala long term use, in two years maganda p resale nyan take it na mawala p yan...

I think way back in 1997 the booties sold for 700k++... Now they are still being sold approx. 350k in the market... imagine after 10 years it still has 50% of its value.... Tama po ba observation ko????

3 door rav4 or honda hrv?
