Hyundai Tucson VVTi A/T or CRDi?

Hey guys! I know there's aldready a thread abt tucs but maybe we can start one comparing their vvti AT variant with their CRDI variant in terms of:
1.performance
2.fuel consumption
3.maintenance costs
hope many tucs owners will post

VVTI is cheaper but CRDI is just so sweeeeeeeeeeet!

With what I know, Hyundai seems to be up there with the best when it comes to diesel technology. From a given displacement, they're able to extract lots of potential. In gasoline though, I believe they're still a notch behind VTEC and VVTi.
