Wow... so the Lancer EX 1.6 MT is REALLY that fuel efficient? Higher engine displacement, with heavier body, and yet the FC is comparable with the jazz's.

So its more economical than the Corolla 1.6MT?

I used to own Jazz 1.3 IDSI M/T before and now owns 1.6 EX MX, I suggest get the Lancer. Yes, FC is not much difference, Better Handling ang Lancer.

The new 1.3 is not quite as efficient as before., Though I expect the manual won't be so bad. (I've only driven the auto)

The Lancer is great to drive, and is much more car for the money. The Jazz has much more cargo room, though.

Yung first batch nga na mga 2.0 na lancer at matic pa sing tipid din ng m/t na 1.6 altis...yung 1.6 pa kaya ng lancer..

Tsaka hirap lunukin ng 800k plus sa jazz na kaliit...

Sir GH, if we are talking about the passenger space, mas malaki pa rin ba yung sa Jazz? Parang mas malapad yung sa EX, pero I hate the bump on its rear flooring.

So what car did you end up buying, TS?

I really love the interior of the Jazz, plus the great FC. An easy 16km/liter Marikina-Pampanga-Marikina (max of 100kph at NLEX)

However, if the Lancer EX can do at least 14km/l given the same scenario, sa EX na ako.

I own a 1.6 Lancer EX and every weekend umuuwi ako ng pampanga coming from lower antipolo. sisiw lang sa lancer yung 14km/l. i usually get 15km/l may konting hataw pa yun sa nlex. the best I got was 17.8km/l antipolo-pampanga at 90-100km/h sa nlex. of course weekend so wala masyado traffic.

Going back, I'd go for Lancer kasi naka Lancer din ako hehe Tsaka yang Jazz for me bagay lang sa babae (kapunggok at kaliit) hehe No offense it's just me.

Bro Rocky, alam kong madami ka nang porma mods sa EX mo, nasundan ko kaya sa thread yung EX mo, haha! Yun nga lang, baka in the long run, mas expensive yung lancer, kasi lagi ka na lang mangangati pagandahin, hehe.

Ang pinakaimportante kasi sa akin ay yung space (for the wife and kids) and FC. I had a traumatic experience with a second-hand 1.6 sentra before, lumalamon ng gas kahit naka-idle.

Yung trunk space, ok na yung sa EX, wala naman na akong baby eh. Although, kung long drive, parang better yung sa Jazz since hindi na kailangan lumabas ng mga bata para hindi na kunin yung gamit.

May test drive ba ang Mitsu for the Lancer EX? Eto lang siguro makakasolve sa dilemma ko.

Bro sobrang conservative driving yun ska pag kasama lang misis kasi ayaw nya ng mabilis haha. Pag ako lang magisa hataw din madalas hehe

Wow.. 17.8 k/l! Almost same route tayo, kasi ako marikina-pampanga-marikina, also on a Saturday. Medium to light traffic, 90-100km/h din sa NLEX.
Another question though, optitron ba yung sa GLX? Umiilaw kahit sa umaga? Gandang ganda kasi ako sa gauges ng Jazz dahil dun.

If I had your budget, i'd settle for the lancer (value for money) then use the money I saved for mods
