    IMHO...
    1. Strada
    2. Strada
    3. Hilux (due to the more complex and costly VGT system of the Strada)
    4. Strada
    5. Hilux
    6. Subjective, but Hilux for me. It looks more traditional/hardcore and yet still looks sophisticated.

i'll agree with sir GTi for 1-4. but my opinion for durability, same lang sila. IMHO parehong maaasahan at matibay ang toyota and mitsubishi. mas maraming service center lang ang toyota. the looks for me, strada. tapos palit mags

    1. FC - Strada s not used in heavy loads. If heavy loads, Hilux
    2. Riding Comfort - Strada
    3. Easy maintenance - Same
    4. Features - Strada (turning radius is better, rear window opens up, better cabin)
    5. Durability - Same
    6. Looks - subjective but tie also for me. Futuristic or swabe ang strada, Hilux macho naman.

since the hilux has 3.0 engine while strada has 2.5...
does it mean that in terms of speed, off roading, toyota has the edge?

Sakit lang sa ulo yan. Hindi pa sila reliable and ganu ka-durable as say Toyota, Mitsu or Isuzu. I suggest kung bnew bibilhin mo na stick ka dun sa mga cars na may casa sa inyo para madali warranty just in case. Even Ford/Mazda are better just make sure nga na may casa dyan sa inyong lugar.

Engine size isnt everything, the rated output in terms of hp and torque is what counts.

Back in the day, 2.5 diesels were making 72 hp but due to progress and technology, same engines are now pushing 170bhp out of the same displacement.

And test drive them both as transmission and axle gearing also play a part in seat of the pants feel.

Strada has 178ps*4000rpm and 400Nm*2000-2800rpm, while the Hilux has 163ps*3400rpm and 343Nm*1400-3200rpm. The Strada has noticeably higher numbers but we must also take note of the rpm at which it was achieved. The Hilux has ample power at all points of its rev range, while the Strada only picks up power once the turbo kicks in, and achieves peak output at a screaming 4000rpm. This would indicate that the Strada has a higher top speed, but the Hilux would do better in acceleration and hauling or towing, since theoretically speaking, with simple calculations, the Strada would only be making 151hp*3400rpm and 280Nm*1400rpm, but the numbers just climbed longer into the rev range.

Yes, the Hilux 4x4 comes with the 3.0D4D engine. As for the Strada, I am not sure which variant exactly he is talking about. But I do know that there is a 4D56 VGT M/T variant available.

Im not quite sure though with the stardas. The last time i check only the AT variants comes with vgt and that was months ago

The Strada makes more torque than the Hilux at 2500 rpm. Low-rpm pick-up isn't as weak as in the Navara. But e turbo-ramp-up is insane... Like boost kicking in on a race car. The Hilux has a more even shove, but it's weaker at all rpms above 2000.

hindi ata VGT ang variant na tinutukoy ni sir. kung price ang paguusapan, makakatipid ka ng exactly 169,000 sa strada between the two. pwede ka pa dun sa GLS-V na top of the line ng strada, naka-automatic pa. cheaper pa rin ng 64,000 compared hilux G MT. mas malakas rin ang power nung top of the line strada
