Civic... but then, it costs much more than the base 1.6 Optra, so it's not a 1:1 comparison.

The newer Optras supposedly have better fuel consumption than before, as by testimony, various road tests and reviews. And the Optra Wagon is a good value for the amount of space you get. But buying one is always going to be more of a gamble than buying a Honda.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

The Optra was originally developed by Daewoo(as the Daewoo Lacetti/Nubira) which is now part of GM, their new name is GM Auto & Technology.
The Daewoo Lacetti/Nubira project would have been cancelled but it was saved by GM when the "new company" was formed in 2002...
The Daewoo brand is now mainly for the Korean Domestic market.

The ASEAN market Chevy Optra is manufactured in GM's plant in Rayong, Thailand, which is one of the 4 modern plants GM set up around the world.

the optra seems to be a better car than what people perceive it to be, but, except for the price tag, it doesn't really have any outstanding feature that beats a civic. unless you're a diehard korean econobox fan, civic ka na

now if you were comparing a civic with a corolla, yan ung mahabang usapan B)

civic hands-down. unless ang habol mo talaga is pinakamura at loaded na 1.6L sedan, not to mention the 2 (or 3) yrs free pms, at gusto mong kakaunti lang kayo sa daan, then mag optra ka.

So does this make the quality of the optra better or same lang sa old daewoo cars?
