Accord 2.4 or Escape 2.0 on long drive

Guys, I have a dilemna. Given the fact of high gasoline prices being evident in the market, I don't know which car to bring to my long drive to Subic tomorrow AM. :D

Car 1:
Accord 2.4L Best km/L = 7.2km/L on city driving.
Ave km/L = 6.4km/L on city driving. Never tried Highway pa.

Car 2:
Escape 2.0L BEst km/L = never tried. Hirap kasi tong engine nya
for her size on city driving. Seemed efficient naman
on its last drive to Subic except on steep grades.
Ave. km/L = 5.5Km/L. Am scared to bring this car might for it
gulp up gas given the semi-high grades at tipo
road.

Any insights would be appreciated. P.S. The Trailblazer is out of the question.

Talagang guzzler yung 2.0 na Escape, I'd go for the Accord.

If I'm looking for a small SUV, I still won't get an Escape though.

I agree na mas matipid ang accord at comfortable ang ride. Hindi ako usually nakakatulog sa byahe, pero nung Accord ang dala namin sa 5-hour drive, I slept like a baby :2hearts:

just got back guys.

you were all right. enigine didnt have any trouble or a hard time... sarap magdrive. total run was about 465 kms roundtrip... and I still got 1/4 in my tank... ave speed was 90-110kph on NLEX. now my engine is dirty... need to have engine wash...
