kung love na love mo mazda 6 mo baka mas gugustuhin mo yun V6 na Ford Escape. Yun Fortuner kasi pang-brusko. if you like to drive a truck puwede siguro. kahit na gas fortuner siguro para ka lang naka hilux na gas. taas gulong eh.

Apples and oranges comparison, one is a crossover compact suv using unibody construction and the other is a truck based ladder frame vehicle. If you like good handling and cornering then niether of these vehicles fit the your requirement. Maybe an Infiniti FX or Nissan Murano or even a Porsche Cayenne but not these two. But since your options are these two then get the Ford since it doesn't have a live axle rear suspension. Just remeber after you buy that the vehicle wasn't meant to be a cornering machine otherwise you'll end up on your roof.

Between the two, the 4X4 Ford Escape V6 will give you what you want, since its handling is more car-like and it has the option of a 206PS V6.

That reminds me, if you ever decide to get an Escape next year... there is a slight chance that this might be the Escape you'll see at the showroom...

Baka kse mas mahal! hehehe! Seriously, I like the elegance of the Mazda Tribute. Yung Ford Escape kse pang-binata yung dating.

But since binata pa ako, Escape! hehehe! Yoko lang sa Toyota Fortuner eh baka ma-carjack ako ng wala sa oras!

I Inquired about the Escape and I believe they still have this Php999k deal on it. Just get the extra accessories if you need them.

Why look for a floor mounted gear-shift while the Escape has a the column shifter which is WAY more convenient than the other? (I miss my L-300!)

    Hi,

Go for the Escape! Love your own , If you can wait for the new one, mas maganda at floor shifter na.. and I think mas ok na ang audio... very comfy ride ang Escape.. I only have the 2.3, sarap siguro nung V6!... or if you can afford, get the Ford 4x2 Explorer....

    Regards,
    Luke

Among the two SUVs, the Escape will have better on-road dynamics.

The Escape will drive better than the Fortuner.

The Fortuner drives very well for a big truck, but you can't beat physics... it's almost two tons heavy and has dual-purpose truck tires, which means grip is low. Good (somewhat) handling plus low grip equals fun in my book, but most people don't like it... and it's not a good combination on a truck this high off the ground.

The Escape 2.3 NBX or the Mazda Tribute 2.3 are the best buys of the Escape/Tribute line. The V6 is a certified guzzler, and I haven't met many owners who've felt the extra power was worth it. They'll drive better than the Fortuner, handle better, and ride softer. The Fortuner may have more space and off-road ability, but if you aren't going off-road, you don't really need it.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I have rode on both of these vehicles. The Escape in the US and the Fortuner our vehicle here. I noticed the Escape does have body roll almost like a Fortuner. Its doors when closed has a sound similar to our single cab L300. The growl of the V6 when floored is music to the ears and it does makes the vehicle leap. My gripe with this vehicle is that it is a typical american vehicle with such ugly looking plastics and interior appointments.

Overall, I'd still get a Fortuner gas if I have to do it again. I like the ride height, which is handy for flash floods during this monsoon season. The gas engine probably needs more low end torque like the 3.0 D4-D. I also used to drive a Civic and I enjoy driving a "truck" like a Fortuner now, which handles very similarly to a car. My gripe with the Fortuner is the blind spots, which I can also say the same with the Escape.

Escape! Mas maganda ang design, sa umpisa lang magandang tingnan ang fortuner, masyadong bulky. Escape poging pogi ka! hehehe
