Need Advice: 05 Innove E Diesel M/T or 06 Innova G Gas A/T

Hi Guys,
Need your advice on this one, heard a lot of problems with Toyota's D4D engine but friends are telling me that it is still a better buy than the Gas variant.Personally, im torn between the two. Here are the requirements

Planning to get an Innova, choices
1.) 05 Diesel E Variant Manual 35,000KM
2.) 06 Gas G Variant Matic 51,000KM

What will last longer? Preferably til 2015
Is there a big difference with the km/liter average?
Which is easier to maintain?
Does the Innova have underchassis/performance issues?

Car will be used for only 3 times a week (2 codings and 1 Sunday)

Hoping for your advice

Since maybe you are planning to use the innova till 2015, i will get the gas variant g na lang, pag diesel kasi baka sasakit lang ulo mo sa injector in the long run.

when i was getting 450 km per 1,000 kesos of diesel in my innova d4d, my brother was getting 260 km per 1,000 kesos of gasoline in his innova vvti.

as per experience, this is not the case always. we have the gas variant and from legazpi city, we bought 1,000 pesos gas (mas mahal dun), then off we went to manila. pagdating dito, meron pa ring gas. i think distance of that route is more or less 600-700kms.

Gas na lang. Although mas mataas ang gas mas kaunti ang problema mo dun. Kasi in the lon grun, injector nun sakit sa ulo kapag diesel. And, G variant pa yun. 2nd sa top of the line ng innova
